Devin and Heidi were SUCH a great couple to work with. Heidi and I instantly clicked when she booked with me and ever since we’ve been constantly chatting together. Perhaps it was the mutal love for the New Kids on the Block that did it? Who knows but I’m so glad to have met Heidi! To make the wedding even more of a joy to shoot, Heidi and Devin are so amazingly perfect together. You can tell within minutes of meeting them that they complete each other and are a perfect match. Their devotion and love is so insanely easy to capture. I felt so honored to share a part in their amazing weekend. Thank you both for everything!!!
Heidi has started her own DOC business which I think she is perfectly suited for. Due to her hard work and killer organizational skills, she had not ONE thing go wrong on her wedding day. I can tell you from shooting many, many weddings that it is rare that you have a day that stuck to a time schedule and not a single thing went wrong at. If you are looking for a DOC, please check out her new blog at Heidzillas.
Of course pictures are below… enjoy!!

I started the day off with Heidi and her girls at the salon. In a rare occurence, Heidi got done before everyone else so she spent her extra time visiting her bridesmaids before her makeup got done.
Devin and Heidi had already had an engagement session so Heidi opted to use her engagement session for rehearsal dinner coverage instead. Due to rush hour woes, I decided to also go to the rehearsal as well and Heidi offered to feed me, pefection!! We started out the day at the Hanna Gardens where their wedding would be the following day and then ended the night with a cocktail hour and dinner at The Blue Point Grille in downtown Cleveland. The weather was perfect and outside of a few incidents with bees in the gardens the evening was perfect!

Pretty much from the beginning Meghan knew that she wouldn’t have time for too many formal shots of her and Drue the day of the wedding due to her timeline so she decided to use her engagement session for a day after session instead (or Trash the Dress session as it’s sometimes called). We got really lucky with the weather the day of the wedding but we were not so lucky with the weather the day after, as I was driving up to Cleveland it was storming and raining. Although the storm missed Cleveland it still rained a bit and was your typical dreary NE Ohio day – but Meghan and Drue were still willing to give it a shot! We started off in Edgewater Park and then hit the West Bank and finished up at the East Bank of the Flats in Cleveland for some more urban style shots. Even though the sky was just awful, they were both so awesome that the pics still were amazing!

I just wanted to post a quick blog and let all of my current, past and future clients know that I am currently without power thanks to Ike. He blew through here on Sunday and I’ve been without power ever since. I am hitting up Starbucks for the net currently […]
The one thing I see a lot of bride and grooms stumble with is the cake cutting. It’s definately not something you do every day and it’s not something you get to rehearse!!! So here are some tips on how to cut the cake and some cake ideas in general. […]
