Boettler Park Family Session with the Herstich Family

At the end of June I met up again with the ever-adorable Hersitch family who chose to break up their portrait session into to 30 minute sessions so they were able to take advantage of their newest addition’s birth in February and also some time outside when it was warm in the summer.  After a couple dates had to be rescheduled due to weather we finally lucked on a day that was pretty much perfect.

Sadly, our session started at the schoolhouse at Boettler Park which is now gone.  It was burned down this week by arsonists.  I’m so sad because I really enjoyed photographing there and it was such a beautifully restored building.  I hope that there is enough left to restore this beautiful building again but it looked pretty bad off in the news.  🙁

The remainder of our session took place on a nearby trail to the park which I’ve visited before.  I absolutely adore the bridge there and the light at the time of day we were there was perfect!  The session finished on the path nearby with some quick individual pics of the older kiddos and it was so much fun.  I loved the poses the kids came up with.

It was great seeing you all again!!
