The Fox Family Christmas Portrait in Hartville

I love all of my family sessions but there is nothing like a Fox family session. Tara has these amazing visions and in a past life I swear she was a set designer for Hollywood. People still comment on their session at the train depot and I still LOVE their session at Molly Stark but this may be my favorite yet. Tara emailed me and said she was thinking of something with a 1940’s flare and the family cutting down a tree. Of course MY mind went straight to A Christmas Story but Tara has a bit more finesse than me and sent along some images that she was using for inspiration for the session.

We had a hard time getting our schedules to coordinate between their tropical vacation and mine (such a rough life right?!) but we were able to make it work the day before I set off for Cozumel. The day was sunny but quite cold but I think the snow was absolutely perfect in the pictures and it pulled the theme they were looking for together splendidly.

This year we have the addition of their super sweet foreign exchange student who smiled despite the freezing temperatures and blowing wind. I felt awful for ALL of the girls because it was COLD and they were wearing skirts but oh my gosh were the outfits amazing.   I am still amazed at how beautifully Tara tied everything together from the outfits to the sled and to the vintage styled presents.  Due to the theme of this session I chose to edit some pictures a bit differently than the norm for me because I felt the session fit it (much like I did with their session at the Dennison Train Depot).
