Wilkshire Banquet Center with Amanda and Matt

I had never been to Wilkshire Banquet Center but it’s a cute little gem of a venue in Bolivar right off I77.  Amanda and Matt said I Do outside in their ceremony space and then continued over to their interior space for their wedding reception.  It was a scorching hot day so everyone was thankful for the shade in the ceremony space.

Someone forgot the rings in the car so that was a fun little interlude during the ceremony that made everyone stop the happy tears and laugh.  The reception continued with the same method of smiles and happy tears.  We all cracked up when one of Matthew’s friends filled in as the bride for the garter removal!

Mapleside Farms Wedding with Olivia and Keith

I smile when I look back at this wedding because it was such a perfect wedding day.  I’ve been to Mapleside Farms for many weddings but the weather gods were never on my side and every single time the ceremony had to be moved indoors.  FINALLY for Olivia and Keith it was a picture perfect day with beautiful skies and NO RAIN!

We started the day off with Olivia and Keith’s first look in the orchards below the barn at Mapleside Farms and it was so pretty.  Afterwards they made a wish and blew a dandelion which was so sweet!  Then the bridal party joined us and I am still obsessed with these bridesmaid gowns!  They were a beautiful emerald green and they were jean jackets for some of the photos and it was such a fun touch that kept the ladies warm!

I have to give a HUGE shout out to Olivia’s Mom because she did all the florals and HOLY COW.  They were STUNNING.  I loved the colors, so so so pretty.  They added so much color to the outdoor and indoor space and really helped the barn pop.  If you couldn’t tell from my photos, I love color and this wedding made my colorful loving heart sing.

Greystone Hall Wedding with Anna and Michael

Anna and Michael made the best of what hands their were dealt with covid AND the weather!  It’s hard to believe that the wedding two weeks before (Danielle and Greg) was in the mid 80s while Anna and Michael had a chillier day with drizzle all day.  However the blossoms were beautiful and everything was SO green that it worked out.

I was SO obsessed with Anna’s gown and necklace.  The gown just laid beautifully on Anna and the french bustle was *chef’s kiss* but the gorgeous necklace with the tail on the back was so unexpected and beautiful!  Just so stunning!  Of course Michael was quite dapper in his tux but I’m a sucker for a beautiful gown!

Anna and Michael found me via past clients who I photographed in 2009 Jessica and Ryan – it was quite fun to catch up with them!

Besides the rain, Anna and Michael’s wedding day was so beautiful and perfect!  So many smiles and SO much love!  Greystone Hall is always a favorite for wedding venues in Akron and when you see the photos you’ll understand why.  It’s such a beautiful space!
