Married | M & R | Tensing Pen

As you may have previously read, I went last November to Jamaica to take pictures of this couple for their intimate ceremony at Tensing Pen in Negril, Jamaica. At the time I couldn’t publicly post many images but they have graciously allowed me to go ahead and publish images from the wedding and day-after-session.

The wedding took place just before sunset on the cliffs of Negril with just a few people present for this gorgeous event. The bride wore a stunning Monique Lhuillier dress and the groom was trussed up and looking handsome in his creme tux. The bridal party consisted of the bride’s sister whom wore a stunning strapless dress in hot pink – the wedding color. The makeup, flowers, officiant and dinner was all provided by Tensing Pen.

It was a warm day that day and I believe M was just a bit nervous!

My favorite ceremonies have at least one good laugh in it, this one had quite a few!!

I wanted a shot or two on the bridge because it was such a dramatic location at the resort, but I started off with a few shots of just them on the bridge appearing to have an ocean backdrop with nothing around them.

I wasn’t kidding when I said the bridge was dramatic, there is a 30 foot drop between the bridge and the water. When waters are calmer, people spend a good part of the day jumping off this bridge but the waters were too choppy for any of us to attempt this when we were here (nor would I EVER have anyone do this when wearing this much clothing!). However the bridge is more stable than it looks and was a great spot for some pics to really showcase the resort they got married at.

Finally getting the spin right, the sunset was gorgeous but I hear Negril typically puts on a better show. Hopefully I’ll find out someday 🙂

We were seeing if the spot near the water was accessible or not (due to the front at sea there was a lot of waves and the spot was too wet to take them to). However I did love this shot of R as she’s waiting on M to come back up from the location.

Instead we got some shots with the sweet light just before sunset on the lounge chair near their hut.

Mobile Monday: Spring is Here!

This week I went location hunting, got my hair cut & dyed, went to a Kentucky Derby Party and met my niece Gabriella! Enjoy!!

Mobile Monday #2

1. Ro’s Custard Stand, 2. Frozen Yogurt, 3. Hoover Park, 4. I am safe from aliens!!!, 5. Lots of hair gone!, 6. Spring = Lilacs, 7. Kentucky Derby, 8. Polka Dot Derby Hat, 9. Selfie Post Derby, 10. Gabriella, 11. Evan and Kayla, 12. Say CHEESE!, 13. Cap City Diner Meatloaf

Notable information and links from the above pictures

1. (center image) Ro’s Custard Creations is my favorite ice cream stand in the world. I’ve been going there since they opened in the 80’s. I used to walk or ride my bike there every single day in the summer. The owners remark at least once a year that they can’t believe that I used to be “this big” and now am “all grown up.” Their frozen yogurt is amazing!

2. I LOVE lilacs. I wish they stayed in bloom all year long.

3. Cap City Fine Diner was pretty tasty, but my meatloaf still kicks this ones booty.

Meet Baby Gabriella

It’s a NIECE – er I mean it’s a GIRL!!!!

My amazing Sister in Law Catherine gave birth yesterday to a GORGEOUS little baby yesterday, Gabriella whom is my first niece or nephew that I’ve got the pleasure of having being a born-to-me-Aunt. I have inherited all of my current nieces and nephews from my marriage so I have to admit to being really stoked to have one that’s going to know me as “Aunt Corey” her entire life! Yes, I’m already planning her tutu shots. 🙂 Back in March, I took pics at Catherine’s baby shower and I mentioned it killed me not to know if it was a boy or girl… so now the shopping is ON! Woo hoo!!

We went down yesterday afternoon (we = me and part of my husband’s large family) to meet Gabriella and I was enchanted from my first look. She is by far the cutest newborn I’ve ever seen, she’s a stunner! For also only being 6 hours old, I also thought she was pretty darn alert but it could be just me! Either way, she’s a bundle of amazing and her parents are already smitten. Both Catherine and Dallas looked wee bit tired so we didn’t stick around for long (that’s why there isn’t a LOT of shots) but I’ll be making up for it soon!

Congratulations to you both, I am over the moon for all of you!!!

My first glimpse of her.

I love these types of tender moments!!!!
