Hocking Hills Autumn Portrait Session with Cindy and Dana

The day before I headed off to Maine for my annual fall jaunt to New England, I met up with Cindy and Dana in Hocking Hills.  It was a BEAUTIFUL day and they wisely chose to meet up at Rock House.  It was a fitting location to meet up with them as Hocking Hills was always a huge part of my childhood as we’d visit it quite often and Cindy was another part of my childhood as she was my Mom’s best friend.  Until October, it had been years since I had seen Cindy as my Mom passed away when I was 13 and Cindy lived out of state.  Facebook however brought us back together and we were able to meet up for the first time in 20 years.  I was able to meet Cindy’s wife, Dana and spend some time getting to know her as well as getting to know Cindy as an adult.

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon to spend with two lovely ladies!

I couldn’t resist taking a picture of this crazy orange fungus with the tiny mushrooms on the fallen log.

The colors at the Rock House are awesome!

The most important thing you can do is spend life with someone who laughs in your same language.  I loved seeing how these two loved and laughed together.

This is a sweet gesture that the two do to steady one another and remind themselves they are there for one another.
