I have been looking forward to Charlie and Kendra’s wedding ever since their engagement session in June which was SO much fun. The fun continued on their wedding day where these two and their friends and family had just a GREAT day from start to finish. Smiles were everywhere!
The weather may have been a tinge on the warm side but we managed to luck out and dodge every single rainstorm that hit Cleveland that day as we bounced around different locations for their pictures! I’ve NEVER been that lucky! As soon as we would leave one place it would rain but we’d get ahead of it before hitting our next location. I’m still impressed with how well that all worked out! Whew! Having images in Cleveland was important to Charlie and Kendra and I’m so glad we were able to make it work out.
If I had to choose a word from the day of the wedding, that word would be lovely. From the beginning until the end, the whole day was just lovely. From Kendra’s dress, to the bridesmaids gowns, to the charming families, to the simple but elegant cake, to the beautiful flowers, to the wish lanterns released at the end of the night – the whole day was absolutely lovely! It was a joy to work with you both!

I started the day out with Kendra and her ladies over at Light Salon & Spa while they were getting their hair done.
While the ladies were finishing up, I was able to pop over to Charlie’s parents house to spend a few minutes with the guys just as they finished getting ready.
Then it was time to go back with the ladies as they got dressed. I am in LOVE with Kendra’s wedding shoes! SO pretty!
The final touch – the garter – to the beautiful ensemble!
As always, the moments after the first kiss seem to be my favorite. This sweet peck on the cheek won my heart!
Charlie’s fist pump here is hilarious!
After the wedding ceremony we headed over to Lake Erie where a friend of the family was kind enough to open up their home and yard for us to take pictures at!! Lake Erie was GORGEOUS and I’m so glad we were able to take advantage of this lovely location!
So pretty!
After seeing Charlie’s fun socks at their engagement session, I was looking forward to seeing what the guys would be wearing the day of the wedding. Needless to say, I wasn’t disappointed!
We headed over for a quick stop at the reception location, Westwood Country Club, for some pictures with Charlie and Kendra on the course. Later we found out that as SOON as we left the rain came pouring down.
While we were waiting for some people to play through I captured this image of Charlie and Kendra and it quickly became my favorite. Also note Kendra’s GORGEOUS bouquet here. SO sososososososooooo pretty!
We left the rain behind us and scooted down to downtown Cleveland where the skies were still blue! I love the way the jade state’s colors pick up on the bridesmaid dress color!
I also have to rave for a moment about the combo of the grey suits with the jade ties. WELL DONE! There has been an abundance of grey suits this year and I for one am digging it!
The whole gang! This is such a great looking bridal party!
The ladies were all giggles!
We took a quick walk up to the new view of Cleveland Browns stadium for a photo opp with the guys.
A quick stop at the Free Stamp ended with yet another favorite image from the day. We got on the bus just as the first sprinkles finally were catching up with us.
Back at Westwood Country Club, the reception room was just about finished and I adored the favors!
Isn’t the centerpiece gorgeous?
All of the tables had various locations across the world and the years the bride and/or groom visited. Such a fun idea!
This cake from Wild Flour Bakery may be one of my favorites. So elegant!
As soon as they entered they went into their first dance which was so beautiful to watch. I love how Kendra’s dress spun around her!
The cake cutting went flawlessly!
After dinner the remainder of the dancing begun with the Father/Daughter dance leading it off.
Charlie than danced with his Mother.
A while after the dance floor opened, the hora started and it was SO much fun!
Charlie was the first in the chair and it went without incident but a lot of laughs!
Charlie’s father however wasn’t as lucky, mere seconds after this image his head hit the chandelier! Luckily though he was fine and there was nothing broken so everything went on ok! It was a scary second though!!!
After the craziness was over I headed outside with the rings!
At the end of the night they set off wish lanterns and it was fun to revisit them again, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen them at a wedding!
I love how the night sky lit up with the wishes for the happy couple!
Of course I had to steal them for at least one picture with the lanterns behind them in the sky!
Once we were inside, Kendra secretly headed off to change into her gown to dance the rest of the night in. Charlie had no idea that this existed and was in for quite the shock when Kendra reappeared. This series is one of my favorites from the day!
Thank you again!!!!!!!! <3 You guys were wonderful!
