On one of the first “holy crap it’s HOT” days of summer I met up with Courtney and Zach down in Dublin for their wedding at the beautiful The Club at Corazon. Prior to their wedding we had met up at a delicious spot for lunch to get to know one another and I absolutely adored them and was really excited for their day. The day of their wedding was even better and I’m so lucky I got to photograph their wedding.
As with many weddings, their timeline kind of went to hell once the day started rolling. Trust me, it happens to almost EVERYONE. Luckily these two were willing to roll with whatever ideas I tossed at them to keep things as close to on schedule as we could and keep things moving. I’m normally very quick with formals but on their wedding day? It was double quick! Thankfully they were able to keep up and we managed to get back on time by the reception!
I have to say, this is one of the most personalized weddings I’ve ever been to. There was SO MUCH love poured into this wedding and celebrating them as a couple. Courtney recorded herself singing to walk down the aisle to (yes, there were LOTS of tears), there were photos everywhere at the reception of them throughout their relationship, TONS of color and personal pops of detail. It was fantastic!
Thank you both so much for trusting me to capture your day!
Ceremony & Reception: The Club at Corazon / Bridal Gown: Pronovias via The White of Dublin / Cake: The Ribbon Box Cakery / DJ: All Sounds Unlimited / Florist: The Flowerman
Courtney had her hair and makeup done on site at the Spa which was perfect for keeping everything on site. Their wedding fell on the same weekend as The Memorial Tournament at the nearby Muirfield Village Golf Club which apparently is a HUGE deal in the Columbus area. Traffic was crazy so it was really smart of Courtney and Zach to plan their day with as little travel as possible!
Courtney got ready in her GORGEOUS dress in one of the locker rooms at The Club at Corazon. It was not too busy that day so we were lucky enough to have the entire locker room to ourselves.
All of Courtney’s ladies pitched in so that she could be ready in time for us to squeeze in a first look!
Since it was SO hot and sunny I was very thankful for this beautiful ivy covered nook near where Courtney got ready. It was the perfect place for their first look!
THEY WERE SO HAPPY!
Love this photo SO much!
Then it was off to the ceremony! How fun is this mirror that they had outside of the area where the ceremony is?
Instead of a unity candle/sand they did an art piece and it was SO cool!
Courtney surprised Zach (and the guests) with a prerecorded message and song (My Heart Will Go On – you know this Titanic loving girl was ALL about it) to walk down the aisle to.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
It was a beautiful day!
Such a sunny sunny day!
There was so much personality! They both wrote their own vows and they were so sweet and sentimental.
Lots of hugs and happy tears!
The ring exchange went perfectly.
Every time I look at this photo I laugh. Courtney was SERIOUS about this art! Ha ha ha!
They did it!!!
They danced back down the aisle and I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT.
The sun was no joke and people were starting to get a bit woozy from being in the heat so we brought it back to the shade for their photos after the ceremony. We didn’t have a lot of time so I had to FLY through these pics but thankfully everyone was game for it and was happy to get to air conditioning sooner rather than later.
How great does this bridal party look? I loved that the guys were able to forgo the coats, especially given the heat that day. The chucks were SO awesome and the colors coordinated with the bouquets and the flowers on the guys. So perfect!
Seriously, these ladies are so dang cute!
So was Courtney! LOVE all the color!
The guys looked great, even the one on the left who can’t obey orders 😉
I loved that Zach had some “something blue” on!
Seriously they were SO MUCH FUN!
I let the bridal party go back to the party and finished up with a few more portraits of Courtney and Zach. This may be my favorite from the day.
Or this one, it’s really hard to pick! I love how Courtney’s blue tips of her hair were perfectly in the curls pinned on the top of her head.
Upstairs I documented some of the fun details before the guests came inside.
Custom drinks are always so fun!
The toasts were perfection!
There were a ton of cupcakes and I LOVED it!
Their cake cutting was flawless!
It was tine for the first dance and it was so lovely.
Then the parent dances which were all sweet and emotional!
The party started and everyone had a great time. The groomsman even danced which is always a good sign of a great reception!
Before I left I played with their beautiful rings and some of the colorful flowers.
