I was super excited to meet back up with Alisha and Nick after our amazing engagement session together the fall prior that was one of my favorites. They had a change in venue midway into their planning and I was really excited to photograph their wedding at Heritage Barn which is a new-to-me venue. The reason why I was so excited was because not only was the ceremony outside but the dance floor also was! Luckily the weather played nice and it was really the PERFECT night to dance under the stars.
Their wedding day was such a great day. It was super chill and relaxed from the word go! Their bridal party was one of my smaller ones last summer AND their ring bearer was their dog! This meant for a ton of fun photographing their day. They opted to do a first look at the Sheraton Suites in Cuyahoga Falls after they finished getting ready there which made the day a lot smoother when it came to planning all the logistics for getting people to places without seeing each other.
Finally… oh these two! Alisha and Nick were just so much fun to work with. They were crazy easy going and it was impossible not to smile whenever looking at them. They both were so full of love and emotion all day that it made my job a breeze. You’ll see in the photos below but their hearts were on their sleeves all day long.
Thank you both so much for trusting me with your day!
Ceremony & Reception: Heritage Barn / Band: Allen Cruz and the Galaxy / Bridal Gown: David’s Bridal / Bridesmaid Gowns: Lulu’s / Cake: Mustard Seed Market / Catering: Old Carolina Barbecue / Florist: Baumann’s Florist / Videographer: Shadow Studios (click here to see their highlight video!)
I started my day out with the girls and we did a few photos of them in their robes before they got dressed.
I love the glass elevator at Sheraton Suites! I’ve wanted to do a photo like this for years and I’m glad I finally got a chance!!
I love this photo of Alisha’s sister doing the buttons on her gown.
Their first look near the falls was full of tears that they were quick to wipe away.
After their first look we popped over to the park next door for some portraits before heading to Heritage Barn.
These two are just so sweet and tender together.
I loved the look of the black bridesmaid gowns with the white hydrangea bouquets.
I loved Alisha’s look SO much! From the beautiful romantic hair, to her beautiful gown, to the perfect bouquet!
I loved this white bouquet from Baumann’s!
I really loved the style of the groomsman and of Nick. I like how Nick had a coat to set him apart from the guys.
Mostly though I adored the color theming! What a great look!
However you’re never fully dressed without a smile!
How adorable is their dog?!!? He made me smile all day long!
We headed over to Heritage Barn and were able to do more portraits there on site before the ceremony.
They are SUCH a great couple!
Alisha did a first look with her father as well and it was under the beautiful trees near the barn.
Watching Alisha and her Dad brought tears to Nick’s eye again and I even teared up with him.
One of my favorite images from a wedding last year.
They chose for their ceremony to be nestled in the trees next to Heritage Barn and it was a perfect setting!
I loved the details they had to personalize their wedding!
How sweet is this?!
Both Alisha and her Dad barely held the tears in as they made their way up the aisle. She had to keep darting her eyes away from Nick so she didn’t cry.
Their wedding ceremony was lovely, sweet and full of sentiment.
They opted to fill the interior of Heritage Barn with various table sizes all with greenery and candles with wood block numbers. Outside the Allen Cruz and the Galaxy Band was setup with the dance floor beneath the stars.
Some lovely toasts started off the evening before dinner.
After dinner they kicked off the evening with their first dance which was one of my favorites.
These two!! *all the heart eyes*
They each danced with their parents and the dances were so perfect!
As the sun set and the moon rose people found themselves in various groupings outside and inside talking with friends and family. There was a small area where the men enjoyed cigars and another group near the lake taking in the view. I really love when wedding reception venues allow people to spread out and enjoy more than just the music and their reception did just that at Heritage Barn!
Alisha’s sister even gave her a spin during their dollar dance! Everyone was laughing and had a great evening!
I am still obsessed with Alisha’s rings!
