In May I met up with Jackie and Jonathan for their wedding at the ever amazing Hyatt Regency Arcade in Cleveland. I was excited to be back at one of Cleveland’s most popular wedding venues with this lovely couple.
I started the day with Jackie getting ready and ended it with all the guests on the dance floor. Thanks to the Cleveland Music Group’s amazing DJ DC the dance floor was packed all night long with everyone from young to old cutting a rug!
Jackie and Jonathan are so sweet together. They chose to exchange gifts during their first look which I thought was a lovely idea! It makes so much more sense to open a gift from your beloved WITH them so you can each talk about the process and thank them properly! In the craziness of a wedding day sometimes those thoughts get lost when you finally see one another. I loved this twist on the tradition and hope other couples in the future do the same. That same thoughtfulness spread through the entire wedding and everything had lovely personal touches. Even though I just met them that day, I felt like I had known them for years by the time I left.
Thank you both for trusting me with your day. It was a joy to work with you both!
Ceremony & Reception Venue: Hyatt Regency Cleveland at The Arcade / Bridal Gown: David’s Bridal / Cake: Wild Flour Bakery / DJ: DJ DC with Cleveland Music Group / Florist: Brown Pleasance Florists
We started our day out with their first look and it was just as perfect as first looks can be.
After they got their hugs and kisses out of the way they exchanged their gifts with one another which I thought was a smart and lovely choice. I liked that they exchanged them together instead of opening them apart.
A rare bottle of wine and a first edition book. SUCH great gifts!
After the gifts were opened we took some photos before the bridal party converged for their photos..
I absolutely adored Jackie’s lace gown. It was so elegant and beautiful!
How adorable are they?!
Just a few guys… I love that Jonathan is wearing a grey suit to stand out from the other guys in blue.
The whole bridal party!
I adored these blue bridesmaid dresses! The high-low hems were perfect!
I also love that Jacke’s brother was a bridesman!
Seriously, so so stunning!
Jackie’s bridal bouquet was exquisite. The thistle and cream roses were just beautiful! Brown Pleasance Florists did a wonderful job!
I love this view of the gorgeous Arcade!
One last photo before the ceremony!
Jackie’s Dad was SO proud to escort his daughter down the aisle.
Jackie and Jonathan’s ceremony was SO personalized and it was amazing. They had friends sing, family read… it was wonderful.
The vows were a bit emotional.
I love this sweet cheek kiss before THE kiss!
During the cocktail hour we managed to pop out and capture a few images outside before they rejoined their guests.
One of my favorite things about The Arcade is that no matter how much or little you decorate it looks amazing. I really loved these simple vases with roses and blue napkins. Just the right pop of color!
As always, Wild Flour Bakery hit it out of the park with a gorgeous and delicious cake.
I looooved that they chose to have their guests line the stairs for their grand entrance into the reception!
Seriously, how fun is this? I hope more couples do this! The stairs at the Hyatt Arcade are perfect for this!
They cut the beautiful cake and it was delicious.
Many lovely toasts were given.
Their first dance was lovely and perfect. I do also enjoy the funny bit with the kiddo on the ground in the back.
The parent dances were also perfection!
Then the dance floor opened up and everyone let loose. DJ DC from Cleveland Music Group kept the dance floor packed and everyone had huge smiles on their faces all night long.
Of course I also played with their beautiful rings!
