Holy cow, have you been to Inn Walden in Aurora? I cannot believe this place is in Ohio much less nearby! I had no idea that Walden even existed and I’m so thankful for Melissa and Carl introducing me to this place because I am DEFINITELY going back. Inn Walden is a beautiful spa and resort nestled in Aurora and is the most zen place to get married that I’ve ever been to.
Melissa and Carl had a lovely wedding on a glorious summer day. The skies were blue, the sun was shining and they said I do under an arch in the garden surrounded by flowers. It was such a different but beautiful ceremony! It started with everyone blessing water that Melissa and Carl would later drink, then the crystal bowls were played and everyone took their places for the ceremony. Melissa’s daughters were her flower “girls” and then Melissa and her fantastic gown (IT IS AMAZING) came down the aisle.
They followed up their ceremony with a dinner with their guests at the Inn before leaving in the evening to attend a U2 concert. These two know how to celebrate!!!!! I loved that they went to a concert that evening (I had gone to one the day before!). Such a unique and fun way to kick of a marriage.
Thank you both for trusting me with the images from your wedding day!
Just you wait, the dress gets better!
We were able to do a quick first look before the ceremony and I loved that Carl thought to bring Melissa a mimosa to sip on while waiting for the ceremony to start.
I’ve mentioned how gorgeous Melissa looked right? This dress is the heart eye emoji a million times over. Proof that you don’t need a long train to be bridal.
I loved the outdoor ceremony space at Inn Walden for a wedding. It’s the perfect spot between the trees and wildflowers!
I love when kids are enlisted to help set up!
I’ve never seen crystal bowls at a wedding before and it was such a beautiful addition. The music is hauntingly beautiful.
Carl watching while family blessed the glasses of water before the ceremony began.
There is no age limit to being a flower girl and I loved that Melissa’s daughters were up for the job!
And yes, true to form I adored their pink eyelet dresses as well. This was a beautifully styled wedding group!
That huge smile that Carl has means one thing…
Melissa was on her way down the aisle!
There were lots of smiles and grins through this ceremony.
They do!
After the ceremony these two took a moment and shared a glass of champagne before getting into the rest of the photos before dinner.
There are these beautiful glass walkways at Walden and they were the perfect spot for photos.
Carl even gave her a bit of a twirl or two!
Impromptu kisses are my favorite.
We got a few more images before they met back up with their guests for dinner and I said goodbye!
