I’m really really trying to get caught up in these final days before I get busy again so please forgive the onslaught of blogs that have been coming.
Anyway! Onto Danielle and James and their wonderful wedding day! Danielle originally came to me after her original photographer was no longer available for their date and they were scrambling to find a new one. Due to their being out of town, our meeting was over the phone but we instantly clicked and it was so great to finally meet her in person on their wedding day! I started my day off with Danielle and her girls at her parents beautiful home on Atwater Lake and we finished the day back closer to my home here in Canton with their wedding reception at La Pizzaria.
This whole group was such a smiley bunch! I don’t know if I’ve ever seen so many grins at a wedding in my life – everyone was so happy for Danielle and James and the beaming smiles were proof of that. What made it better was the beaming smile Danielle and James both broke out into whenever they made eye connection. It was beautiful to see.
Thank you both so much for trusting me to be your wedding photographer! It was such a joy to work with you both!
Band: Bluewater Kings /Ceremony: St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church / Reception: La Pizzaria
I started off with the ladies and their dresses and man, what beautiful dresses, right?
I was (and am) in love with Danielle’s hairstyle. It was so elegant and pretty!
I always love when letters are exchanged – not only is it wonderful to get a reminder of all the reasons for the day but it also gets some lovely photos!
Once everyone was ready we went outside for a few photos with the beautiful leaves! Just seeing these photos made me so excited for fall to return. Don’t hate me.
Danielle and her family did all the florals for her wedding and MAN they did a fantastic job.
I love when my clients are able to take a moment before the craziness of the day.
It’s time for the ceremony! How proud does Danielle’s Dad look?!
On my way from the front to the back of the church I spied these cute flower girls being flower girls!
Every church is different with their setups for chairs during the service but I really love this one!
See what I mean about the smiles?
How gorgeous is Danielle’s veil?
Sweet kisses for Grandpa!
They do!
One thing that was super important to Danielle and James was having a photo with everyone outside of the church and I’m so glad it worked out!
We went over to Canton Garden Center on the way to La Pizzaria for photos and squished as many as we could in before this teeny tiny storm came right for us.
Loved the look of this whole bridal party together!
You know I love when bridesmaid dresses complement each other but aren’t matching!
What a beauty! I LOVED this dress! So visually beautiful!
The fellows are so dapper!
The groom was handsome too!
Such a great couple!
I couldn’t resist the massive hydrangea bush with all the beautiful hydrangeas incorporated into their wedding!
I always carry umbrellas in the car with me just in case and luckily we had this one to use for a few photos before racing to the cars.
LOVE this photo!
After a quick change for James we did a few more photos outside at La Pizzaria once the rain moved through (and left a beautiful rainbow).
La Pizzaria is such a beautiful venue for a wedding reception!
They had a massive cookie table where friends and family helped make it one of the largest displays I’ve seen!
They had a sweetheart table which I’m always a huge fan of.
It only took 11 years but I finally had a cake cut with a sword!
Their first dance was perfect!
After Danielle shared a sweet dance with her Dad.
Then James shared his own lovely dance with his daughter.
Then the dance floor opened up and everyone had a blast dancing to the music by Bluewater Kings. They always fill a dance floor and their wedding dance floor was PACKED the whole night long.
How fun is this custom candle they had? I couldn’t resist a photo with it and their rings!
