It’s funny – after 6 years you start to see a general pattern of weather. Certain weekends tend to be rainy, certain weekends are almost always humid and so forth. Every wedding I’ve had the first weekend of October has been unseasonably cold and often rainy. This year? It was rainy but 80! What’s even better is that the rain stopped just before the ceremony ended so it was an ideal evening for a reception in a tent, especially for a reception that included fireworks!
Exactly a year before, I’d met up with Lisa and Eric for an engagement session that was so perfectly fall. It was a great day with perfect foliage and I was really excited to work with them again at their wedding. It was really neat when I saw the images from their engagement session up in her parents house when Lisa was getting ready. I had a whole year to look forward to their wedding after I had such a great time with them at their engagement session!
When I think back to their wedding day, I just keep thinking how everything just WORKED that day. Lisa was so calm and collected and that feeling carried over the entire day. Her bridal party was magnificent to work with – they were so eager to help me however they could. The wedding planner was a breeze to work with and everything was precisely on time. The fireworks were able to go off and were a complete surprise to all. It was just what you imagine when you think of a perfect wedding day.
Thank you both so much for allowing me to capture your picture perfect day!

I really love the simple and elegant invitations they had.
Can I gush about Lisa’s dress? So simple but the draping was gorgeous on her AND IT HAD POCKETS!
Eric’s reaction to seeing Lisa? Awwwwww right?
As Eric said the words, “in joy and in sorrow,” he got choked up and Lisa pulled a handkerchief out of her pocket to wipe his tears. Aww again.
The first kiss!
Since the rain ended we were able to get pictures outside…. but the downside was that due to the overcast sky the lake and the sky looked like one so the backdrop wasn’t as beautiful as it usually is. It was kind of neat though in its own way.
How beautiful does she look!? I love the classic red rose bouquet.
These guys were so easy to work with! Yay!
I love the way the red dresses and the tuxes looked on the bridal party!
How cute are these guys!?
Awwww. I LOVED Lisa’s hair. SO pretty!
Favorite!
The red and white decor in the reception tent looked gorgeous!
I always love when I work with Wendy Kromer, her cakes are always so amazing (and delicious).
The rings 🙂
Lisa’s father gave a lovely welcoming to the reception.
The first dance was so lovely and sweet!
The Father/Daughter dance was lovely as well.
The scheduling had to be tweaked due to weather but the fireworks went off perfectly!
LOVE!
After the fireworks were over the reception was just a long fun party! It was a great night!
