Rounding out my third wedding on Labor Day weekend was Elizabeth and James. They had such a beautiful day for their wedding – warm and sunny without the sticky humidity that plagued the first two weddings that weekend. It was a relief since their ceremony was outside on the green and their reception was on the outdoor patio!
When I arrived the ladies were finishing their makeup with my favorite makeup artist in the area, Jason Kelly. Seriously ladies, book him. You won’t regret it! Once the makeup was complete and the dress was on they did their first look in the shadows of the country club on this adorable bridge while everyone watched from the windows above. We then went around taking pictures in various spots on the course before returning and finishing up the bridal party pictures for the day. It was so nice to have everything done before the ceremony!
The ceremony was perfection and it continued straight into the cocktail hour on the lawn in front of the club. Everyone sat and mingled with friends and I kept hearing people exclaim how excited they were to see various people. There was also a champagne bar!! It was a perfect cocktail hour!
The sun began to set and the guests moved inside to the covered patio where toasts kicked off the evening. Everyone was full of smiles – especially the bride and groom who couldn’t keep their eyes off of one another. Finally once the set completed its journey across the sky the lights were down and everyone moved into the ballroom to kick up their heels and dance the night away with the amazing sounds from Bottom Line Band.
Congratulations to you both! Thank you so much for having me along on your wonderful day!

I just adored her dress! It was so perfect and beautiful!
Jason working his magic!
On the way to see James!
I love that Elizabeth gave a little twirl!
This was a great little nook for portraits near the snack shack!
These two are just so darn adorable together!
I loved the dahlias in her bouquet as well, gave a great texture to the look!
We found one tree that had started changed so I had to get a picture with it in the background!
We had time for a quick portrait at this window before the groomsman arrived.
I loved how the guys were all in khaki colored slacks and the groom was all in one color. Interesting and fun way to break up the look.
I LOVED the pink Lilly Pulitzer Janice dresses on the ladies! It looked great on everyone and it is so not an obvious bridesmaid dress when/if these ladies rewear them!
I really loved the look of the bridal party all together. The colors went together well!
After we finished up the family portraits the bridal party was cheering from the rooftop terrace above as Elizabeth and James walked back in. Love!
These programs were simple but beautiful!
It was a sunny walk down the aisle but the clouds came in and…
No one was squinty during the ceremony – yay!
A perfect first kiss!
I don’t drink at weddings but I have to admit, this was tempting! Look how refreshing it looks!
The cocktail hour was so picturesque!
I really loved the setup of the tables outside.
Aren’t the centerpieces gorgeous?
Elizabeth’s Dad opened the toasts and he was hilarious!
This cake for them to cut was so beautiful!
It went perfectly!
Their first dance and parent dances were also perfection.
The dance floor opened up and everyone cleared the dining area to come and dance with Bottom Line Band. The dance floor was completely full all night and everyone was having a blast.
Before I left I took their rings on a safari and loved this final shot I captured with some LED candles in the background.
