“OMG did you have a wedding on Saturday? The rain was horrible!”
That was what pretty much every single person that knows me said to me in the days following Olivia and Zak’s wedding. June was a wet month and their wedding day was probably the wettest. All along my drive to their wedding I kept getting alerts in my car (LOVE XM Weather!) regarding floods in the area and I started to get concerned. When I arrived at Patterson Fruit Farm all was dry save for a few stray drops but not long after I got inside Orchard Hills the skies opened up and it was a torrential downpour. Of course, this is on the heels of Olivia texting me that she was on her way and I had just assured her that so far it was clear there. Crap. THANKFULLY the rain came down hard and fast and left as quickly as it arrived – just in time for Olivia to pull in. Whew.
While in the end their ceremony had to be moved inside, the rest of the wedding was completely unaffected by the rain and we were able to do their first look and all portraits outside. While the grounds were by far not perfect Olivia just hiked up her skirt and walked right through a stream in her heels all for the sake of getting great photos. Have I mentioned how awesome these two were? Seriously. Awesome. But not only for braving muddy fields – they just were so in love that it made my job easy. Their families were a joy to work with all day and I adored the little details in their day that personalized their wedding.
Thank you so much for trusting me with your wedding day!

LOOK A THE SUNLIGHT! We got so lucky despite the rains that everything ended up working out.
Their first look went perfectly!
I adored Olivia’s look – the roses, the headband and her gorgeous dress – it was perfect!
We even managed to get into the apple orchard for a few pictures despite a few puddles.
Seriously, how sweet are these two?
The light was beautiful despite the rains.
Here you are able to see some of the dramatic skies and puddles that the rains left behind.
Olivia wanted to go sit on these rocks beneath these trees and when they went over there was a few slugs. They calmly removed them and sat right down.
Have I mentioned I adored them? Ha.
One last beautiful spot before heading up for the ceremony!
This custom sign they had displayed at the wedding was so pretty!
The ceremony had been moved indoors but it was absolutely beautiful in front of the fireplace.
While Zak’s sister read a reading during the ceremony Zak wiped a tear from Olivia’s eye.
The kiss!!
How adorable is their cupcake tower with cowboy boot toppers??
Their first dance was perfect and adorable.
The toasts before dinner were equal parts of funny and sentimental.
How gorgeous are their rings?!
Their cake cutting was perfection!
Their parent dances were so fun and made me smile.
With all the formalities over with the dance floor opened up and it was packed!
