Last year I met up with Angela and Aaron at Reeves Victorian Home for their wedding portraits before their ceremony and reception at Dover Alliance Church. It was SUCH a picture perfect day and couldn’t have gone better. A year later and I’m still obsessed with Angela’s cocktail length dress!! The flowers were perfectly in bloom at Reeces Victorian Home. The bonus to their doing photos before the ceremony meant that we didn’t fret at all when a downpour happened when we SHOULD have been taking photos outside!
Angela and Aaron were such a dream couple to work with. SO easy going, so many smiles, and so many laughs! I also admit, it was nice to have an early end to a wedding day! I also loved that they went a bit offbeat for their wedding catering and went with Papa Gyros. It was a HUGE HUGE HUGE hit.
Special thanks to my awesome second shooter of the day Michael Wypasek!
Thank you so much for trusting me with your wedding photos!

I started my day with Angela and the girls at Dover Alliance Church where they were getting ready. Angela’s sister, her twin, was an absolute HOOT and we were all laughing all day thanks to her!
Michael was with the guys at Reeves Victorian House and they were also giggling for most of the day.
Soon enough it was time for their first look and it was SUCH a perfect one!
Aaron fought the good fight trying to hold back the tears but he eventually gave in. I can’t blame him, Angela was stunning!
See what I mean about her sister? She was so fun all day long. I also LOVED these lavender gowns! It’s been a lot of pink and black bridesmaid dresses lately (which I love!) so it was nice to see a new color in the mix!
I loved how the colors all came together with the full bridal party! Blue suits are by far my favorite look on the men!
How amazing are these two? How amazing are those FLOWERS?? Seriously, this is why you choose May for a wedding!
If you didn’t think I was going to work in a spin in that darling dress you don’t know me well enough yet.
I always jokingly call these the Mom shots because they are the ones that Moms always want.
This mayyyyy be my favorite from the day. Yes. I have a thing with flowers and kissing.
We headed back to Dover Alliance Church juuust as the clouds started to roll in. WHEW on that timing!
The bridal party took a moment to pray over Angela and Aaron before their ceremony. It was such a beautiful moment and I loved they could be together for this. Angela wasn’t the only one with tears after this.
Time to say I DO!
The ceremony was full of love and so much emotion!
It is really weird to post these pre-pandemic weddings and see no masks… just so we’re clear this was in May of 2019!
ANYWAY! Now onto the sweet reception they had after the ceremony!
The toasts were absolutely perfect from both the Best Man and Maid of Honor!
There wasn’t any dancing but it wasn’t missed at all! Everyone mingled, chatted and ate and enjoyed each others company without having to yell over a speaker. It was refreshing not to leave a reception without ringing ears!
It’s not often that in Ohio we do proper exits from the wedding reception – generally they are done after the ceremony here for whatever regional reason. When I do get to photograph exits from the reception I always love it – especially during the day! There’s also something fun in rice being thrown (usually a wee bit violently) and the photos that come from it!
