On a bright sunny day I met back up with Brittany and Scott just outside of Cleveland for their wedding at St. Basil the Great. I had such a great day with them and every time I look at these photos I smile because I enjoyed my day with them so much!
They had a long time between their ceremony and reception and we spent a lot of time in and around Cleveland taking photos. It was great to have the time to do spots that are off the grid a bit and also they had time to decompress and just ENJOY each other for a bit before the reception (which I always highly recommend).
Brittany and Scott just have this ease around them, which filtered down through their family and friends. It’s part of why I just loved getting to know them and enjoyed my day so much. All day every time Scott caught Brittany’s eye he would burst out into this MASSIVE grin and his entire face just would light up with love.
Thank you both so much for trusting me with your day!
Ceremony: St. Basil the Great / Reception: St. Paul Hellenic Center / Bridal Gown: Martina Liana via The Dress Bridal Boutique / Cake: Michael Angelo’s / DJ: Marino Brothers / Florist: Nikki’s 21 Blooms / Linens: L’Nique
Isn’t Brittany’s dress gorgeous?
Once the girls got back from the salon they had a quiet moment getting some breakfast before getting dressed and the craziness of the day began.
I love when brides have images from family members they want to recreate and this image was one of those and I LOVED how it turned out with Brittany and her Aunt.
The wedding ceremony went off without a hitch at St. Basil the Great.
There were lots of smiles and laughs which is always fun to capture during a wedding ceremony.
The kiss!!
After the ceremony we headed downtown to take photos at the E9th Street Pier and luckily it wasn’t too busy so we didn’t have to wait for long for the popular “Cleveland” sign there!
Such a great June day in Cleveland!
I love the shades on these guys!
There is a tiny spot on the pier that has a few trees that with the right lens and angle looks a bit wooded and offers the only real shade on the super sunny pier. Love the photos we got from this spot.
It was a bit of a breezy day and the girls hair was EVERYWHERE! Lots of laughs!
How cute are these two? Love!
The bonus of the wind was the way it blew Brittany’s veil around.
We headed over to the Forest City Yacht Club for a few more photos and one happened to be well timed with a passing plane.
I am a huge Wyland fan (I have two of his paintings) so I was elated when I was able to finally have a couple to photograph with the beautiful Wyland wall on Lake Erie.
I got to St Paul Hellenic Center before everyone so I was able to photograph the ballroom before anyone arrived. I loved the pink and black touches!
How fun is this guestbook??
I really loved this classic and elegant cake from Michael Angelo’s. The polka dots, the octagon layer – it was all perfection.
I am obsessed with peonies (I may always sneak a whiff whenever I carry them for my brides!) and this one from Nikki’s 21 Blooms was just FANTASTIC.
We were able to sneak in a few more portraits in the parking lot before they headed into the cocktail hour. It’s hard to believe this is in a parking lot of all places but the light was right and it was a sweet little spot.
Those smiles!!
The reception kicked off with some wonderful toasts.
Brittany and Scott’s first dance was the perfect balance of sweet and silly.
Scott had a lovely dance with his Mom.
Brittany also had a lovely dance with her Aunt.
The rest of the reception was a fun balance of dancing, talking and laughing.
Before I left I got to play with their gorgeous rings!
