Holy cow, I accidentally skipped a wedding when trying to get this blog back up to (somewhat) date! I don’t know how I skipped the gorgeous wedding of Brooke and Chase but I did. They are skipped no longer!!
Brooke and Chase got married at the lovely Tea Houses at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens. If you don’t already know, this spot includes one of my favorite aisles in the world (well, that I’ve photographed anyway) with the Birch Tree Allée. It’s one of their most popular spots for a reason and I always do a happy dance when I’ve booked a wedding here. This is a gorgeous venue no matter what the weather (and I’ve shot here in almost all of it!) but Brooke and Chase lucked out and got a gorgeous day with not a drop of rain.
Brooke has the best smile ever. It lights up the room whenever she walks in and the amps are just turned up whenever she sees Chase. They were such a fun couple to work with because their hearts are always on their sleeves – which I already knew from their fun engagement session that previous February. Even when there was a bit of a disaster on their wedding day with the transportation’s bus breaking down, Brooke just shrugged it off, got some alternative transportation and headed to Stan Hywet without a tear.
Thank you both so much for trusting me to photograph your day! It was a joy working with you both.
Bridal & Bridesmaid Gowns: Abbott’s Bridal / Ceremony: The Tea Houses and the Birch Tree Allée at Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens / Florist: Carmola’s Flowers / Reception: La Pizzaria / String Quartet: Suite Elegance
I started the day with Brooke at her Mom’s house where her and all the girls were getting ready.
Brooke smartly saved getting into her dress until she was at Stan Hywet and did some finishing touches in the Carriage House.
I’m obsessed with the gown that Brooke had from Abbot’s Bridal! It’s STUNNING!
See what I mean about her smile? It’s the best!
The new trend is the illusion netting and I am HERE for it!
I am obsessed with these shoes!!! How pretty are they?
Brooke did a first look with her Dad and his grin is so worth it!
Sigh. Love this so much!
Brooke and Chase wanted to do one of those moments on either side of the door but there weren’t really any doors so we made do with a small wall. They read letters from one another and it was such a lovely moment.
Chase got a bit teared up and it was a beautiful moment.
A quick moment to hold hands and take in the moment before heading to the ceremony where they could finally look at each other!
Before heading to the ceremony though I was able to do some quick portraits with each side. First up was the ladies!
We got lucky and were able to get into the English Garden for some photos with the gorgeous reflection pool.
I love the pink bridesmaid dresses looked with all the greenery.
The girls left and the guys came in!
I always love when there’s some fun shots with the groomsman.
I really love the light grey suits especially for the summer!
These little guys were such fun little ones!
HOW AMAZING IS THIS ARCH!?!?
THESE KIDS!!! They cracked me up all day long.
Chase was gobsmacked when Brooke started her way down the birch tree allee.
How proud does Brooke’s Dad look!?
I am obsessed with this aisle. Just saying.
This ceremony spot is so darn magical.
These two are just so sweet together.
Even during the serious moments Chase is still smiling.
The Kiss!!
Another reason why I adore Stan Hywet and weddings at the Tea Houses is because this exit area is so awesome!
I mean THIS DIP!? You couldn’t do this in most places!
Finally!! Couple portraits!!
Without even seeing their faces you can tell they are so in love.
Man do I love this spot. But I love this couple more!
How cute are they together? So darn sweet!
All the heart eye emojis. ????
One last photo in front of the manor house before heading to their reception at La Pizzaria!
Brooke and Chase opted to do a receiving line into the reception/cocktail hour and I thought it was such a smart idea! This meant that they could get right to dancing and enjoy their dinner!
How fun and glam is their pink cake?!
These smiles!
Chase kicked off the parent dances with his Mom and it was sweet and lovely.
THEN BROOKE AND HER DAD OMG.
They had a coordinated dance and it was so freaking amazing.
Yep, they even made it rain.
After THAT amazingness Brooke and her ladies came out and did a dance for Chase and it was freaking amazing.
1 – Can you tell Brooke is a cheerleading coach?
2 – Do you see her Dad doing the same moves in the background?! SO DARN CUTE!
One last formal dance with Brooke and her Mom. Then her sweet sister joined and it was even better!
Bouquet time!!
They did a faux sparkler exit and it was perfect!
Sometimes I’m gone before the very end of the night and I’m not there to capture the exit so I always urge my clients to do a faux exit before I leave. The bonus is that not only are more people still there but they are also sober.
And finally the amazing rings!
