Oh Katie and Rob… looking back on their wedding seems like eons ago instead of a year and a half! Katie is the sister of a past bride, Meghan, who I photographed a few years prior. I was delighted when they contacted me to photograph their wedding because I had already fallen in love with the family.
The day of their wedding everything was perfect. The weather was wonderful (so many June weddings have rain!)! The bridal party was a HOOT! The bridal gown was simply divine. It was such a wonderful day.
Katie and Rob also have the BEST energy around them. All day long everyone was in stitches from laughing. Even when there was a bit of a blunder during the ceremony, they just laughed it off.
Thank you both for trusting me to capture your day! Also thank you to Andrew for being my fabulous second photographer!
Ceremony: Church of St. Dominic / Reception: The Union Club / Bridal Gown: Eddy K via Global Bridal Gallery / Cake: Wild Flour Bakery / DJ: Evan Foltz with Cleveland Music Group / Florist: The Budding Tree / Makeup: Cleveland Bridal Makeup / Videographer: Just Hitched Films / Wedding Planner: Katie at Kirkbrides
I started my day with the girls at Katie’s parents house and just as before, there was so much laughter and fun!
See what I mean about the laughs? ALL DAY LONG. So much fun!
I’m still absolutely obsessed with Katie’s Eddy K gown. The embroidery was luminous and SO elegant!
While I was with the ladies, Andrew met up with the guys at St. Dominic Church in Shaker Heights.
We’re not going to talk about the game these groomsman played all day long but the end result was LOTS of laughs!
I think the most serious these two were for the whole day was when Katie was making her way up the aisle.
I always love when a bride has both parents walking her up the aisle!
Then the laughs started and they were all smiles for the rest of the day!
While the kiss was perfection I loved the moment just after as they started their walk back down the aisle.
They did it!
After the family formals were done we headed over to the Cleveland Cultural Gardens for some portraits.
I LOVED the tuxes and cool grey gowns that the bridesmaids were wearing.
Such a great bridal party!
How stunning is Katie? AND HOW AMAZING IS THAT BOUQUET!?! The Budding Tree knocked it out of the park!
These two images shows a lot of how I work – you have to have the photos where you pause and smile at me but also the one where you’re smiling at each other. I love both!
Here again, one looking at me and another in the moment. Both are lovely… but if I’m honest I love the kissing one the most.
This ended up being one of my most favorite photos from the day! LOVE!
Andrew nailed this portrait of these two.
This bouquet deserved its own portrait!
The bridge at Shooters is popular with just cause! I love when we are able to visit when the ivy is beautiful and green!
They’ve finally put a better floor down on the tracks which makes taking photos here a lot easier!
We then headed over to The Union Club for some final portraits before the guests arrived!
Such a stunner of a venue!
Kirkbrides and The Budding Tree did a fabulous job of styling such a beautiful venue!
I loved the large table they had set up for the bridal party!
As always, Wild Flour Bakery created an absolutely beautiful cake!
Cake breath makes for the best kisses!
Shortly after their introductions they did their first dance.
Then it was time for toasts and there were lots of laughs!
After dinner it was time for the parent dances before the dance floor opened up to everyone.
Recognize these two cuties? It was lovely to see them again!
I always have fun with the rings!
