• Andrea emailed me the weekend that she got engaged after stalking me for a few months wanting me to be their photographer. I cannot even express how flattering this is! Sadly, I was already booked for their date (with Erica and Aaron) and gave them some recommendations for other photographers in the area. After deliberating for a bit, they moved their wedding date so that they could hire me. It still makes my heart flutter a bit writing this. I still can’t really express into words how amazing that is! Needless to say, I loved them from the word go!
• I adored how Andrea and Josh wound the ribbons of the wedding around their love for each other and their families. In lieu of a formal bridal party of friends, Andrea’s Mom was her Matron of Honor and Josh’s brother was his Best Man. Josh’s father was the officiant. Andrea’s nieces were the flower girls. The favors were take home boxes of cookies that were all made the week of the wedding with family using Andrea’s grandmother’s recipes.
• Andrea’s father is no longer with them but his spirit was carried the day through a string of pearls that Andrea’s mother let her borrow and a tie clip of his that Josh wore. I love to see loved ones honored like this!
• The light at Glenmoor was GORGEOUS at the time of their ceremony and reception. The way the light streamed in the windows was fantastic! The photographer in me gasped in excitement when I saw it!
• Instead of a formal bridal party, they chose to have their friends dress in the wedding colors in clothing they already owned and pose for a few informal pictures. I LOVED how they chose to do this, no monetary obligations and they were still able to honor them and get a few pictures with them as they would a traditional wedding party. Such a lovely idea!

I adored the vintage style of Andrea’s dress and the light streaming in the window here was perfect.
Andrea putting the finishing touches on.
While I was with the girls, my husband Chris was with the guys capturing them getting ready.
Since Andrea’s father is no longer with them, I LOVED that Andrea chose to have her mother escort her up the aisle. I’ve seen this a lot more this year and it still makes me smile.
Glenmoor is just STUNNING!
The kiss! 🙂
This is a new favorite image of mine, love love love this. I know when I was telling them how to stand and hold their heads they thought I was nuts but they get it now 😉
Another favorite!
Andrea you are beautiful!
Josh, you’re a pretty dapper fellow yourself!
This is what happens when you let the Grooms decide what pictures they want, it’s still fun though! LOL!
Josh gave Andrea a little twirl during their entrance, LOVED!
Josh’s brother gave a wonderful toast that was funny and heartbreakingly sweet.
Andrea’s childhood best friend gave the next toast which was equally as wonderful.
Josh’s Father gave another toast as well as the blessing, he was full of smiles!
I LOVE the little looks of love during toasts!
Andrea did a LOT of DIY on this wedding including making her bouquet. I LOVED that she had her grandmother’s rosary wrapped around the stems, it was the perfect touch!
Gotta have a ring shot (or a million) – this one is in front of the glorious fireplace at Glenmoor.
I love the wary look on Andrea’s face here – no worries though Josh played nice!
Their first dance = lovely!
Andrea & Josh thank you SO much for hiring me, it was a joy to be with you both all day!
