{"id":1028,"date":"2010-04-19T12:02:38","date_gmt":"2010-04-19T16:02:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/?p=1028"},"modified":"2011-09-07T20:25:44","modified_gmt":"2011-09-08T00:25:44","slug":"corey-talks-my-wedding-details","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/corey-talks\/corey-talks-my-wedding-details","title":{"rendered":"Corey Talks: My Wedding: Details!!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I love detail shots, LOVE them. \u00a0I think part of why I strive to make sure that evert little detail is captured is because <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brookemayo.com\" target=\"_blank\">Brooke<\/a> did such a fantastic job for our wedding. \u00a0I didn&#8217;t really have a &#8216;theme&#8217; per se for our wedding, I had a feeling &#8211; which was the beach. \u00a0Cream, blue, green, sand and shells. \u00a0Everyone thought I was crazy, especially back in 2007 when EVERYONE had a very detailed THEME to the wedding. \u00a0I bucked the trend &#8211; and ironically now it&#8217;s becoming more popular to not have a structured theme!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/details-1.jpg\" alt=\"yellow house on whalehead beach\" width=\"900\" height=\"602\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The house that we rented for the week, where the ceremony was located behind. \u00a0If you are looking for a house to rent, I highly recommend<a href=\"http:\/\/www.brindleybeach.com\/book\/house.html?PMSID=WL805\" target=\"_blank\"> Tequila Sunrise<\/a> in Corolla<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/details-2.jpg\" alt=\"ivory heels\" width=\"900\" height=\"602\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I loved my shoes &#8211; even if I only wore them for a small amount of time. \u00a0I got them at DSW!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/details-3.jpg\" alt=\"flower girl basket with shells\" width=\"602\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The flower girl basket that I made filled with tiny shells.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/details-4.jpg\" alt=\"sexy little bride hoodie\" width=\"900\" height=\"602\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I got this cute <a href=\"http:\/\/www.victoriassecret.com\" target=\"_blank\">Victoria&#8217;s Secret<\/a> hoodie the night before at my bachelorette-ish party. \u00a0It was when it first came out, but it&#8217;s now a staple at most weddings I see! \u00a0Confession: I still have it even though I know I&#8217;ll not wear it out (almost 3 years later I don&#8217;t think I count as a bride anymore) but I love it too much to part with it! \u00a0However if any of my future brides want to borrow it, let me know! \u00a0I may part with it for the right person LOL!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/details-5.jpg\" alt=\"detail shot of rings on sea oats\" width=\"900\" height=\"602\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I love sea oats&#8230; and this is by far my favorite ring shot. \u00a0LOVE.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/details-6.jpg\" alt=\"starfish wedding invitation\" width=\"900\" height=\"602\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Our invitation which was custom designed for us by a local in the Outer Banks. \u00a0I love love love this and it turned out perfectly!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/details-7.jpg\" alt=\"starfish wedding menu\" width=\"602\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This is my DIY menu that picked up on the star on the invitations and programs. \u00a0While it&#8217;s not elaborate, I am quite proud of this! \u00a0However&#8230; that basho wood paper is IMPOSSIBLE to work with!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/details-8.jpg\" alt=\"entrance to the saltaire event home\" width=\"602\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The entrance to the home we rented for the reception, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thesaltaire.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Saltaire<\/a> (some pics from our wedding are on their site). \u00a0The starfish on the door were from our florist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blooms007.com\/reneelandry\/portfolio.html\" target=\"_blank\">Renee Landry<\/a> and we still have them hanging on our front door. \u00a0Another detail I \u00a0loved.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/details-9.jpg\" alt=\"cake table with shell cake and bouquets\" width=\"900\" height=\"602\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The cake table with our bouquets on it, which Lisa informed me is a Southern tradition. \u00a0The cake was from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.argylesrestaurantandpianobar.com\/argyles\/html\/desserts.html\" target=\"_blank\">Argyles<\/a> and it still to this day is the best wedding cake I&#8217;ve ever had.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/details-10.jpg\" alt=\"outdoor wedding reception\" width=\"900\" height=\"602\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The tables that were on the verandah of the house. \u00a0We put some here and some by the pool in case of inclement weather.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/details-11.jpg\" alt=\"round table with hurricane candle and shell centerpiece\" width=\"602\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The round tables we had near the pool area. \u00a0It took me a long time to come up with a favor that wasn&#8217;t lame, fit in with our look for our wedding and wasn&#8217;t a darned cookie. \u00a0Cookie favors were HUGE then. \u00a0I ended up with scallop shell wine stoppers and they were perfect!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/details-12.jpg\" alt=\"candle and shell centerpiece\" width=\"900\" height=\"602\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I LOVED my centerpieces. \u00a0I had sent Renee things that I had envisioned and she did a marvelous job with them. \u00a0Everyone raved about how beautiful they were.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/details-13.jpg\" alt=\"votive and shell centerpiece\" width=\"900\" height=\"602\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The centerpieces for the square tables were just as pretty and I adore the candlelight!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/details-14.jpg\" alt=\"bacon wrapped filet appetizer\" width=\"900\" height=\"602\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Now for the delicious food&#8230; first the appetizers. \u00a0Here we have the bacon wrapped filet bites. \u00a0My brother in law devoured an entire plate of these. \u00a0They were delicious!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Sadly my caterer went out of business so I cannot link you to rave about the food of hers! \u00a0\ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/details-15.jpg\" alt=\"basil tomato and mozzarella appetizer\" width=\"900\" height=\"602\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Basil, mozzarella and tomato! \u00a0This was my personal favorite.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/details-16.jpg\" alt=\"shrimp starter\" width=\"900\" height=\"602\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Finally the shrimp&#8230; which was so good it was sinful.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Is your stomach growling yet? \u00a0Mine is!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/details-17.jpg\" alt=\"caesar salad plated\" width=\"900\" height=\"602\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The caesar salad, which was absolutely delicious.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/details-18.jpg\" alt=\"kobe beef entree with lobster\" width=\"900\" height=\"602\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The main dish!
