\u00a0It&#8217;s hard to believe that it was <a href=\"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/2009\/05\/meet-baby-gabriella\/\">only a year ago<\/a> that I met Gabby for the first time! \u00a0She&#8217;s still as precious as ever. \u00a0I think out of all the ages I&#8217;ve been able to experience with kids around me, the time around one year old is my favorite. \u00a0Then again, every age has its charms! \u00a0Hopefully in the coming weeks I&#8217;ll be able to shoot down to Columbus to do a proper 1 year shoot with this cutie!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/gabb1bday-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"598\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Guess what awesome Aunt got her this outfit (and failed to get a decent shot of her in it?)???<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/gabb1bday-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"598\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Mommy Cat lighting the candle on her cupcake cake.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/gabb1bday-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"598\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Why are all of these people singing to me?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/gabb1bday-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"598\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">She needed a pinch hitter for blowing out the candle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/gabb1bday-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">It took a few minutes, but eventually Gabby proved herself as a girl after my own heart and grabbed her cupcake and dug right in. \u00a0Atta girl!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/gabby1bday-6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">YUM! \u00a0I have to confess, these cupcakes were AMAZING. \u00a0The icing was so darn good.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">However the design of the cake was wrong, wrong, wrong. \u00a0I won&#8217;t go there as it was a sore spot for the party.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Dear Kroger, when someone says no Tinkerbell, they mean no Tinkerbell.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/gabby1bday-7.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">For her first shot at eating a cupcake, she stayed pretty clean. \u00a0I look messier when eating one and I&#8217;ve got 30 more years of experience than her!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/gabby1bday-8.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"598\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In lieu of gifts, my sister in law wanted us to bring objects for a time capsule that Gabby will open when she&#8217;s 21. \u00a0I.was.stumped. \u00a0I wanted something that represented the current times, but something that also was reflective of me (oh yeah and my husband). \u00a0I figured that she should have already seen pictures that I&#8217;ve taken in the past year so that threw out that idea. \u00a0My next idea (thanks to Twitter!) was to put in a Polaroid camera with film and take a picture of her right before putting it in and have instructions to take one when she takes it out. \u00a0Great idea, but since Polaroid has gone under, the cameras are hard to come by and I&#8217;m not giving up the one I have. \u00a0Eventually after hitting up Google I came upon the idea of making a guestbook for her party. \u00a0I used pictures from the day she was born and then had questions on the opposite page asking when they met her and other random questions. \u00a0For the future Gabby, I asked what people thought she would be when she grew up. \u00a0The book was a hit at the party and here is one of the guests filling it out. \u00a0He thinks Gabby will be a Victoria&#8217;s Secret Model! \u00a0Ha!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/gabby1bday-9.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"598\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The party was pretty stressful for this little tyke and she conked out by the end of it. \u00a0What&#8217;s great about this shot is that I have a similar shot from the day she was born. \u00a0Daddy&#8217;s still enamored with his little girl &#8211; she&#8217;s just not the size of a hand anymore!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Saturday we got to celebrate Miss Gabriella turning one!!
