A few years ago I photographed the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Party for Tim Brown at Glenmoor Country Club<\/a>.\u00a0 Last August I was honored to be hired again to return and photograph Robert Brazile aka Dr. Doom’s party!\u00a0 \u00a0If you aren’t from the Canton area this is all probably a big eyebrow raiser to you but every late July\/early August all of the football people descend on Canton for the yearly induction for pro football players into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the first game of the season.\u00a0 It’s always wild as you never know who you’re going to run into in town – I ran into Snoop Dogg at the gas station once.\u00a0 However, much to my parents chagrin, I don’t do football.\u00a0 \u00a0So, when I see the players I’m utterly and hopelessly clueless as to who they are.\u00a0 When I was hired to photograph Tim Brown’s party I was only there to shoot the room and decor which is in my wheelhouse so I was fine.\u00a0 Then his photographers wanted to leave and I was hired to stay on and may have had a ‘ohhhh crap’ moment where I wished I had brought a second photographer with me just to point out who I should be photographing because, again, I didn’t know who was who.\u00a0 As it turns out though my wedding spidey-senses kicked in and I was able to identify most players by reading the room and figuring out who the people were paying attention to.\u00a0 By the end of the night I was pretty confident with what I delivered and who I covered.<\/p>\n

When I was contacted by Glenmoor on behalf of the Tennessee Titans to photograph Robert Brazile’s event I was excited.\u00a0 The enshrinement parties are such a fun change from weddings although they are honestly VERY similar.\u00a0 Instead of a bride and groom you have the newly inducted player (or coach) and it’s just basically like a wedding reception with a lot of smiles, hugs and toasts to the new member to the club.<\/p>\n

What I loved most about covering this event was just how lovely and kind Robert, his wife, and his whole family was.\u00a0 They were SO wonderful to work for and I cannot stress this enough, THEY ARE SO NICE.\u00a0 Robert’s party was the night of his enshrinement and it is SUCH a long, exhausting day despite the happiness.\u00a0 The parade in the early morning and then the enshrinement which can take hours in the hot sun – it’s a long, long day.\u00a0 By the time everyone arrived they were sweaty and exhausted yet Robert was still smiling and happy to greet everyone.<\/p>\n

Thank you to Robert, his family and all the vendors I had the honor of working with!\u00a0 It was such a wonderful evening!<\/p>\n

In one of the ‘nooks’ at Glenmoor they set up Robert’s uniform and some Houston Oilers and Tennessee Titans memorabilia.<\/p>\n

The whole room was lit up in red and blue and the focus of the room when you walked in was this amazing ice sculpture.<\/p>\n

Nikki’s Perfect Petal Designs<\/a> provided the centerpieces and they were perfection!<\/p>\n

Before long friends, family, fans and past coaches and teammates started arriving.<\/p>\n

I’m not great at football players but I did recognize Emmitt Smith.\u00a0 He is a charmer!<\/p>\n
