{"id":1177,"date":"2010-09-14T22:09:31","date_gmt":"2010-09-15T02:09:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/?p=1177"},"modified":"2012-02-12T11:54:07","modified_gmt":"2012-02-12T16:54:07","slug":"wedding-maggie-brian-canton-oh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/wedding\/wedding-maggie-brian-canton-oh","title":{"rendered":"Wedding | Maggie + Brian | Canton, OH"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u2022 \u00a0Sometimes it is amazing to me how small the world is! \u00a0This wedding is a perfect example of that. \u00a0Maggie &amp; Brian originally inquired with my wonderful wedding photographer <a href=\"http:\/\/brookemayoblog.com\/\">Brooke Mayo<\/a>. \u00a0Her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sanctuaryvineyards.com\/\">hubby<\/a> knew Brian in college and through him they fell in love with Brooke and her work (duh who wouldn&#8217;t). \u00a0Brooke was booked so she referred them to me since they were getting married close by (awwww this made me do a happy dance!). \u00a0They ended up booking with me (yes, another happy dance). \u00a0At the ceremony, I noticed the ring bearer&#8217;s dad waving at me and I was really confused &#8211; I assumed he was waving at someone else. \u00a0Turns out he wasn&#8217;t, it was someone I went to school with! \u00a0It&#8217;s really wild sometimes where you run into people you know and how closely connected we all are. \u00a0His wife is Maggie&#8217;s cousin. \u00a0Small world!!!<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0Maggie and I bonded immediately during our meeting over our love for expensive footwear.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0This was the last of the crazy hot and humid weddings of the summer. Luckily they thought ahead and we were able to go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cantonclubevents.com\/\">The Canton Club<\/a> for pictures inside rather than sweltering in the heat.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0Brian and his family are all from the south and I could listen to their accents all day. I love accents!<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0Since Brian and his family are from the South, their wedding had a lot of southern traditions that aren&#8217;t common here in Ohio. Maggie is doing a bridal session (had to postpone until AFTER the wedding due to alternation delays) which are HUGE in the south. They also had a traditional southern reception which I would have been lost at had I not have had close friends from the south clue me in on how things differ. The major thing is that instead of a traditional plated or buffet meal, there are stations set up and you eat at will. There was a mashed potato station, a carving station, a stir fry station and so forth. Makes for a much more fun atmosphere and there is no breaks for dinner &#8211; the activities go on throughout the evening rather than have a set hour for eating! Super fun!<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0I also had a wedding first at their wedding, a fire! The Stir Fry station had a grease fire which was a new one for me! Luckily they were able to put it out quickly and no one was injured. I didn&#8217;t get any images because I was taking some informal portraits with the bride and groom and some family in the lobby area. It was pretty wild though and something everyone will always remember when thinking of their wedding. They both handled it with such grace that you wouldn&#8217;t have ever known there was anything amiss!!! LOVE!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wedding Vendors<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Band: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reaganomics.com\/\">The Reaganomics<\/a><br \/>\nCake: <a href=\"http:\/\/littys.com\/\">Litty&#8217;s Cakes<\/a><br \/>\nCatering\/Reception: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mckinleygrandhotel.com\/\">McKinley Grand Hotel<\/a><br \/>\nCeremony: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stjoemassillon.catholicweb.com\/\">St. Joseph&#8217;s in Massillon, Ohio<\/a><br \/>\nFlorist: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seifertsflowers.com\/\">Seifert&#8217;s Flower Mill<\/a><br \/>\nRentals: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cantonchairrental.com\/\">Canton Chair Rental<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/mbw-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"598\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Maggie had a gorgeous broach for her dress that was begging for a close up.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/mbw-2.jpg\" alt=\"bride getting ready at the decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/mbw-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"598\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Loved the phone booths, Brian is actually calling his Dad and telling him to come over for pictures. \u00a0I thought he was faking! \u00a0LOL<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/mbw-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"598\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/mbw-6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"598\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Love love love love love this.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" that we have some shots in front of City Hall.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/mbw-8.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This is my friend Nick&#8217;s son and he wasn&#8217;t digging this whole ring bearer thing very much! \u00a0At least he did make it down the aisle! \u00a0Isn&#8217;t he adorable!?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" short of stunning!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/mbw-12.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"598\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/mbw-13.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This is by far NOT the best formal portrait (blinks!) but I have to include this because it made me laugh so hard. \u00a0This was hitting the &#8220;I&#8217;m done!&#8221; stage for the kids but we were trying to get a few more out of them. \u00a0The ring bearer decided to make a quick exit by diving off the altar! \u00a0Here he is mid-dive! \u00a0HILARIOUS!!!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" expressions. \u00a0I can&#8217;t recall what this guy was upset about but it sure makes a cute picture!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/mbw-18.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">LOVE this image for so many reasons. \u00a0How cute are they!?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/mbw-19.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/mbw-20.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Their band was an 80&#8217;s band so to go along with the theme, Maggie and Brian had Ray-Bay esque glasses for everyone to wear. \u00a0The guests LOVED them and spent much of the evening wearing them! \u00a0One of the most hoppin&#8217; dance floors Iv&#8217;e seen in a long time!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Thank you both for having me along for such a wonderful
