{"id":1487,"date":"2011-06-02T23:00:25","date_gmt":"2011-06-03T03:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/?p=1487"},"modified":"2011-09-07T19:39:47","modified_gmt":"2011-09-07T23:39:47","slug":"destination-wedding-%e2%80%a2%c2%a0christi-and-eric-%e2%80%a2-carova-nc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/destinationwedding\/destination-wedding-%e2%80%a2%c2%a0christi-and-eric-%e2%80%a2-carova-nc","title":{"rendered":"Destination Wedding |\u00a0Christi and Eric | Carova, NC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u2022 \u00a0I apologize for the silence on the blog over the past few weeks. \u00a0Sadly my sister in law lost her battle with cancer so my time spent at the computer was at a minimum. \u00a0I appreciate everyone&#8217;s kind words, thoughts and understanding during this time, it has meant so much to me. \u00a0Things are finally back to &#8220;normal&#8221; now so I&#8217;m playing catch up!<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0As I mentioned in their Rehearsal post, this wedding has been a long time coming. \u00a0I&#8217;ve been looking forward to capturing this day for quite some time! \u00a0The day was PERFECT and I am so glad that I was able to be a part of it.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0I&#8217;ve been going to the Outer Banks since 1986 and I have never seen the 4&#215;4 area&#8217;s beach as much of a mess as it was when we were there. \u00a0High tides + a drought made for some really awful beaches to drive on. \u00a0We made it though but we&#8217;re still waiting for something to fall off of our car from the ordeal!!<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0Since I got married in the Outer Banks I don&#8217;t typically get to work with my wedding vendors so it was a real treat to be able to work with my florist and salon again! \u00a0I am envious of those that work where they got married that get to do this on a frequent basis. \u00a0In case anyone&#8217;s reading&#8230; I love the Outer Banks and will travel to shoot! \u00a0Just thought I&#8217;d put that out there!<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0The weather was a tinge on the cool side and breezy so the outdoor dinner was moved inside and in the end I&#8217;m kind of glad it was so that they had two different looks for their wedding (rehearsal and wedding day). \u00a0It worked out!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Wedding Vendors<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Catering: \u00a0Chef Franko with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atyourserviceobx.com\/chef.html\" target=\"_blank\">At Your Service<\/a><br \/>\nEvent Home:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.twiddy.com\/homes\/4x4\/ocean-beach\/the-hemingway.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">The Hemingway<\/a> at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.twiddy.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Twiddy<\/a><br \/>\nFlorist: \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/flowersobx.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Renee Landry Style<\/a><br \/>\nOfficiant: \u00a0Rev. ceremony to have a moment to themselves. \u00a0The deep ruts in the sand though made it a bit tricky!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Christi &amp; Eric's Wedding in Carova, NC\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/cew-15.jpg\" alt=\"groomsman laughing about an injury\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\" \/>The night everyone arrived Bruce (bent forward) made the mistake of drinking in the hot tub. \u00a0When he got out he was disoriented and fell down cutting his scalp. \u00a0Everyone was really worried about him but he luckily was OK save for some lost pride and a cut on his head. \u00a0Since he was OK, everyone felt free to rib on him for the rest of the week for his misstep.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I also have to toss in here that I adore when family is the bridal party and Eric&#8217;s Dad and Uncle were his fellow groomsman. \u00a0LOVE.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Christi &amp; Eric's Wedding in Carova, NC\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/cew-16.jpg\" alt=\"grooms father giving a toast before dinner in carova\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\" \/>Eric&#8217;s Dad gave a really lovely toast prior to the meal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Christi &amp; Eric's more portraits we had a herd of horses run by us! \u00a0It was fantastic and just so wonderful to watch. \u00a0I could watch these guys play all day!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Christi &amp; Eric's Wedding in Carova, NC\" wedding and I&#8217;m so happy that I was able to recreate it for Christi and Eric.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" in the upper left\u00a0mimicking\u00a0the lovebirds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" height=\"900\" \/>This image makes me laugh every time I see it. \u00a0I went a bit into the water (despite it being QUITE chilly!) to get an image of them with the water in front of them. \u00a0As my luck runs, a rogue wave came in that was much larger than the ones prior to it and water went from my ankles to my thighs and Christ and Eric got nailed. \u00a0I felt terrible but they were good sports&#8230; and this image makes me giggle!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\"
