{"id":15,"date":"2008-03-06T03:00:13","date_gmt":"2008-03-06T08:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/blog\/?p=15"},"modified":"2008-03-06T03:00:13","modified_gmt":"2008-03-06T08:00:13","slug":"shivers-from-the-timbers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/personal\/shivers-from-the-timbers","title":{"rendered":"Shivers from the timbers!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Starting on Monday night through Tuesday we got walloped with a heck of an ice storm!\u00a0 Not only did we get a lot of rain and ice, but then the ice got to be so heavy that the brances of the trees started falling and taking down power lines with them.\u00a0 We lost power on Tuesday around 2PM and we did not get it back until 3PM on Wednesday.\u00a0 It was a very long and cold night here in Ohio for those of us without heat.\u00a0 Then there was the constant bombs being dropped &#8211; aka transformers that were blowing up.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t know to say if it was like being in a war or watching the Northern Lights attack back.\u00a0 Constant BOOMS with blue and green balls of light shining for miles.\u00a0 One of the oddest nights I feel that I have ever known.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I couldn&#8217;t resist going out and taking pictures the minute the power came back and heat was restored.\u00a0 I&#8217;m allergic to cold temperatures (yes, seriously) so I had to wait until I had a place to warm up besides my car (although that would work &#8211; with gas the price it is I&#8217;m not keen on wasting it!).\u00a0 The pictures are interesting to say the least.\u00a0 It very much reminded me of &#8220;A Christmas Story&#8221; when Ralphie wakes up on Christmas morning and looks out his window to see that his entire world is covered in ice.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Here is a tester shot for the new blog of our deck and its icy decorations.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll update this later with some more icy shots.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" width=\"866\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/icestorm1.jpg\" height=\"575\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Starting on Monday night through Tuesday we got walloped with a heck of an ice storm!\u00a0 Not only did we get a lot of rain and ice, but then the ice got to be so heavy that the brances of the trees started falling and taking down power lines with them.\u00a0 We lost power on [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[23,24],"tags":[255,346,378,454,517],"class_list":["post-15","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-personal","category-photojournalism","tag-ice","tag-ohio","tag-pictures","tag-snow","tag-weather"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.5.1 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Shivers from the timbers!
