{"id":2625,"date":"2012-07-02T11:47:45","date_gmt":"2012-07-02T15:47:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/?p=2625"},"modified":"2012-07-31T22:22:28","modified_gmt":"2012-08-01T02:22:28","slug":"wedding-polly-and-shahan-waterside-restaurant-and-catering-in-north-bergen-nj","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/destinationwedding\/wedding-polly-and-shahan-waterside-restaurant-and-catering-in-north-bergen-nj","title":{"rendered":"Wedding | Polly and Shahan | Waterside Restaurant and Catering in North Bergen, NJ"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the middle of June I headed off to New Jersey to photograph Polly and Shahan&#8217;s wedding at Waterside Restaurant and Catering which is right on the Hudson River in New Jersey overlooking New York City. \u00a0From the moment I looked up the restaurant&#8217;s website, I was completely excited for the wedding and couldn&#8217;t wait to see this gorgeous view myself! \u00a0Polly was referred to me by my friends <a title=\"Miss Petra and Miss Carolina\" href=\"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/children\/miss-petra-and-miss-carolina\">Lisa<\/a> &amp; <a title=\"Miss Sydney is 4\" href=\"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/children\/miss-sydney-is-4\">Kimberly<\/a> whom she taught with in Louisiana prior to Katrina. \u00a0I&#8217;d heard nothing but lovely things about her and Shahan and was just as eager to meet them in person as I was to photograph the wedding. \u00a0Neither the location nor the people disappointed and I fell in love with both of their families. \u00a0They are so warm, sweet and kind &#8211; they made both my husband and I feel welcomed and like part of the family. \u00a0It was such a joy to spend the weekend with these lovely people.<\/p>\n<p>The wedding day was absolutely perfect weather, gorgeous sunny skies and while it was a tinge warm it was completely bearable and the breeze kept things at the right temperatures. \u00a0The ceremony location was even more breathtaking than I had imagined and the reception venue (same place just upstairs) was even more amazing with its sweeping views of New York City. \u00a0After one of the sweetest ceremonies I&#8217;ve ever witnessed, we took a flurry of pictures and then headed upstairs for some of the most spectacular dancing (and eating!) I&#8217;ve ever seen. \u00a0Needless to say, it was a fantastic day. Thank you both for hiring me!<\/p>\n<p>Oh and I have to say this wedding brought with it one of the craziest coincidences EVER. \u00a0It turns out that one of Polly &amp; Shahan&#8217;s friends whom was a guest was also a <a title=\"Commitment | Jessie + Shelva | Milan, Ohio\" href=\"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/wedding\/commitment-jessie-shelva-milan-ohio\">guest at Jessie &amp; Shelva&#8217;s wedding <\/a>which I photographed a few years ago. \u00a0It just goes to show you just how small the world is sometimes!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Wedding
