| Jessie and Justin | The Whalehead Club in Corolla, NC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As you may know, I&#8217;m a big fan of The Outer Banks in North Carolina. \u00a0I <a title=\"Travel | Outer Banks of North Carolina\" href=\"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/travel\/travel-outer-banks-of-north-carolina\">vacation here<\/a> quite a lot, 5 years ago I got <a title=\"Corey Talks: My Wedding: Bride &amp; Groom Pictures\" href=\"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/corey-talks\/corey-talks-my-wedding-bride-groom-pictures\">married here<\/a> and I&#8217;ve even photographed <a title=\"Ian + Michelle 09.13.08\" href=\"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/wedding\/ian-michelle-091308\">a couple<\/a> <a title=\"Destination Wedding |\u00a0Christi and Eric | Carova, NC\" href=\"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/destinationwedding\/destination-wedding-%e2%80%a2%c2%a0christi-and-eric-%e2%80%a2-carova-nc\">weddings here as well<\/a>. \u00a0Someday I will live here! \u00a0In July I was vacationing here with friends (once all the client stuff is caught up it&#8217;ll be blogged!) and during the trip I was able to squeeze in an engagement session with clients of mine that are nearby. \u00a0Yay!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.whaleheadclub.org\/\">The Whalehead Club<\/a> is an old duck hunting club that was built in the 1920&#8217;s. \u00a0It changed hands a few times over the years, at once time even being a boys school. \u00a0Eventually it fell into disrepair and was abandoned and many of my younger memories of this mansion was the tales on how it was filled with snakes (later I found out this was true) and being scared of how it looked. \u00a0In the late 90&#8217;s they started restoration of this building and I am SO glad they did as it&#8217;s an absolutely gorgeous home and should be shown off. \u00a0The grounds surrounding it are also beautiful and it&#8217;s one of the best places to watch a sunset in Corolla.<\/p>\n<p>Jessie and Justin met up with me on a crazy weather day. \u00a0It rained off and on for our entire stay and we luckily managed to dodge the rain clouds that kept chasing me all week. \u00a0The sky wasn&#8217;t quite as dazzling as I&#8217;d hoped but at least there weren&#8217;t any storms (and some that week were crazy strong, even produced some tornados and water spouts). \u00a0They were so easy going and fun to play with! \u00a0See you guys in a couple weeks!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Jessie and Justin Engagement in Corolla\"
