{"id":2826,"date":"2012-09-28T00:17:37","date_gmt":"2012-09-28T04:17:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/?p=2826"},"modified":"2012-11-01T14:44:39","modified_gmt":"2012-11-01T18:44:39","slug":"maternity-%e2%80%a2-nicole-and-john-%e2%80%a2-canton-ohio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/maternity-%e2%80%a2-nicole-and-john-%e2%80%a2-canton-ohio\/","title":{"rendered":"Maternity \u2022\u00a0Nicole and John \u2022 Canton Ohio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Where do I even start?<\/p>\n<p>Nicole started working for me 4 years ago and from our VERY LONG first meeting at Starbucks to see how things would work out, I knew we were going to be friends. \u00a0She&#8217;s an awesome person and I&#8217;m not just saying that. \u00a0We get along really well and she&#8217;s a joy to be around. \u00a0I wish she could be in my pocket every day. \u00a0She&#8217;s that awesome. \u00a0I&#8217;m so lucky to have found her and that she&#8217;s in my life. \u00a0I fondly call her Minion and she calls me her Lord &amp; Master. \u00a0I mean, come ON! \u00a0Are we kindred spirits or what? \u00a0Words can&#8217;t convey how elated I am to have met her and been honored to have her work alongside me (and once me for her but we both agree that was a strange, strange day). \u00a0She&#8217;s also got <a href=\"http:\/\/simplytoldphotography.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">her own kick-ass portrait business<\/a> (she tried the wedding thing and decided in the end she likes being my minion more than doing them on her own LOL).<\/p>\n<p>This year I have missed working with my favorite side kick terribly. \u00a0Nicole was pregnant and under doctors orders to take it easy as her wee babe had a few issues and while our jobs SOUND easy, shooting a wedding can often be brutal on your body. \u00a0Especially pixies like Nicole \ud83d\ude09 \u00a0so I had some help from friends and my awesome hubs and Nicole enjoyed the first summer off in a while. \u00a0She used her time wisely by visiting many fairs \ud83d\ude09 and taking good care of The Buddy as the baby is \u00a0fondly called.<\/p>\n<p>A month ago I was honored and tickled pink when she asked me to be her maternity photographer. \u00a0It&#8217;s not something I&#8217;ve often done. \u00a0Actually, I&#8217;ve only done it once. \u00a0I was petrified but she said I was &#8220;The One&#8221; for the job. \u00a0We ended up rescheduling at last minute due to rain and gloomy awful Ohio-ness and the following day was amazing golden skies and a perfect day for portraits. \u00a0I had an absolute BLAST with her and her hubby John as we roamed Malone College and took pictures at all of their old haunts. \u00a0Love always inspires me and these two, they have a special and perfect love that you just smile to see. \u00a0Soulmates are these two personified.<\/p>\n<p>This session was behind another to be blogged in my timeline but tonight Nicole had to have &#8220;The Buddy&#8221; a few weeks early and they can use all the prayers they can get so I thought I&#8217;d get this out there now because one extra prayer or good vibe from someone, even a stranger, never hurt anyone. \u00a0If you want to read more about her story, or see her freaking ADORABLE nursery,<a href=\"http:\/\/simplytoldphotography.com\/blog\/just-me\/my-hiatus-the-buddy-the-coming-months\" target=\"_blank\"> please go here to read her blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole, I love you and am so honored to have you as a friend and to be your photographer. \u00a0I can&#8217;t wait to see you, John &amp; Buddy soon. \u00a0Love, your Lord &amp; Master \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Owen was born on 9\/28\/12 at 6:51PM and they have chosen the perfect name for their darling boy, Owen, which means young fighter. \u00a0He&#8217;s a blessing and quite adorable. \u00a0I&#8217;ve yet to meet this cutie yet (they are keeping visits to family, which I totally understand) but the pictures are too precious for words. \u00a0He has a massive amount of hair and has already sported his own faux hawk, which was awesome. \u00a0However, he is still fighting the fight and things are still up in the air. \u00a0Their original game plan for his care once born had to be altered and it&#8217;s a day-by-day case. \u00a0I&#8217;ve had a lot of people ask me what they can do to help and some of their friends are hosting a fundraiser at The Barrel Room in North Canton on November 8th from 6-9PM. \u00a0I&#8217;ll be posting more information on my Facebook Page but I would LOVE to see you all there!! \u00a0I plan on donating something for the raffle \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATE #2:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sadly Owen passed away on 10\/20\/12. \u00a0The fundraiser is still taking place and I hope to see you there!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" title=\"Nicole &amp; John's Maternity Session\" src=\"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/njm-1.jpg\" alt=\"maternity portrait of both parents\" width=\"598\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">See what I&#8217;m talking about? \u00a0A pregnant lady and her ice cream. \u00a0I have to say though, her taste buds are\u00a0superb. \u00a0I tried this flavor based on her raves and it is DARN tasty.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Since I&#8217;m Irish, I always seem to gravitate towards Irish blessings and this one I thought would suit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8220;May you always walk in sunshine.<br \/>\nMay you never want for more.<br \/>\nMay Irish angels rest their wings<br \/>\nbeside your nursery door.<br \/>\nAnd for the proud parents:<br \/>\nMay God grant you<br \/>\na wee bit of heaven<br \/>\nto cradle in your arms &#8211;<br \/>\na sweet bonny baby<br \/>\nto hold close to your heart<br \/>\nA newborn babe<br \/>\nbrings light to the house<br \/>\nwarmth to the hearth<br \/>\nand joy to the soul<br \/>\nfor wealth is family<br \/>\nfamily is wealth.<br \/>\n<em>Old Irish proverb&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Much love and hugs to you to tonight as you start your journey being parents to The Buddy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Where do I even start?
