{"id":3781,"date":"2013-07-31T22:09:44","date_gmt":"2013-08-01T02:09:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/?p=3781"},"modified":"2013-07-31T22:09:44","modified_gmt":"2013-08-01T02:09:44","slug":"colorado","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/travel\/colorado","title":{"rendered":"Colorado"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve got so many trip pics on the back burner but I figured with <a title=\"Jessica and Jeremy\u2019s Session in Colorado Springs\" href=\"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/children\/jessica-and-justins-session-in-colorado-springs\">the last session<\/a> I&#8217;d toss these up while I was at it.<\/p>\n<div>It was a very quick trip to Colorado between weddings but I was still able to mark off a few things on my to-see list from the area: go to the top of Pikes Peak and see the Molly Brown House.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a title=\"Travel | Colorado\" href=\"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/travel\/travel-colorado\">In the past<\/a>, we&#8217;ve meant to do the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cograilway.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pikes Peak Cog Railway<\/a> but weather has played a factor and it&#8217;s just never worked out so I was super excited when we were able to make it work this go around. \u00a0What&#8217;s interesting is that we went up first thing in the morning and the skies were blue and it was around 40 degrees. \u00a0<a title=\"Portrait \u2022 The Hendrix Family + Margaux is TWO! \u2022 Delaware, OH\" href=\"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/family\/portrait-%e2%80%a2-the-hendrix-family-margaux-is-two-%e2%80%a2-delaware-oh\" target=\"_blank\">My friend<\/a> went around noon and it was snowing and there was a tornado sighted. \u00a0Crazy how quickly the weather can change there! \u00a0Tip to anyone going? \u00a0Ask for tickets on the 3 seat side, it has the better views.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Molly Brown has always been one of my favorite survivors from the Titanic. \u00a0You may have heard the rumor that I&#8217;m a huge Titanic fan (this site used to be a Titanic fansite!) and seeing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mollybrown.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Molly Brown&#8217;s house<\/a> has always \u00a0been on the &#8220;to-do&#8221; list when in Colorado but I&#8217;ve either never made it anywhere close or it was closed in the past. \u00a0I missed the big &#8220;Titanic&#8221; year there (BOO!) but it was still quite exciting to FINALLY tour her home which was simply amazing. \u00a0Sadly, no photographs were permitted inside but I did make up for it outdoors. \u00a0Ironically my favorite thing in the whole house was one of her dresses, it was simply amazing. \u00a0The house is also quite amazing and wonderfully restored. \u00a0Two thumbs up from me!<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>So here&#8217;s a quick virtual vacation to Colorado!<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">Such a great house for such an amazing woman!<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" title=\"Molly Brown House Museum\" alt=\"Molly Brown House Museum in Denver Colorado\" src=\"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/colorado1.jpg\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\" \/><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">I surfed a bunch of different hotels when I was in Colorado. \u00a0It was funny going from the quirky and awesome <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecurtis.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Curtis<\/a> in Denver to the charming and sweet\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lennoxhouse.com\/home.asp\" target=\"_blank\">The Lennox House<\/a> in Colorado Springs.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">PS: \u00a0I would LOVE to shoot a wedding at The Curtis, just in case anyone was wondering. \u00a0I kept seeing such great spots for portraits in the hotel and it was sad to not have a couple to photograph!!!<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" title=\"The Lennox House Bed &amp;
