I am speechless.<\/p>\n

Back in June I was speechless when I received an email from the NEW YORK TIMES (!) about interviewing me for their upcoming article about Unplugged Weddings which was partially inspired by my blog post. \u00a0The interview seemed to go well but I fretted until the moment it went live on the internet and in print <\/a>that I would sound like a total fool in the article. \u00a0Thankfully, I did not. \u00a0It was positively thrilling to see my name in print (!) in such a prestigious newspaper such as the New York Times. \u00a0Everyone kept asking me if I was sad they didn’t use any of my images but honestly, I never expected them to. \u00a0However, I will confess that it was exciting to see my images alongside my interview in CNN later that month<\/a>. \u00a0 The unplugged wedding thing has begun to die down and life is returning to normal. \u00a0It’s still a bit surreal though!<\/p>\n

A few weeks ago a friend sent me a link they got from the New York Times requesting instagram images of weddings. \u00a0Each month has a different theme and I figured, why not? and sent in a couple images. \u00a0If I have an extra moment or two, I do try to capture an instagram or two during the day just for fun and a quick preview that I can send my clients while working on their images. \u00a0Timing doesn’t always allow it but it is fun when it does! \u00a0One of the images I sent in was ironically from Jennifer and Dan’s wedding<\/a> – yes, the infamous Unplugged Wedding – of her bouquet that I am still absolutely enamored with. \u00a0I am a voracious reader (I read around 150 books per year) and Jen’s wedding theme was BOOKS. \u00a0Have I mentioned how much I adored their wedding? \u00a0I’m sure I have but just so you know, it’s up there in my top favorites. \u00a0I thought her book bouquet of sonnets was a perfect example of a wedding ritual (flower bouquet) is evolving and apparently the New York Times agreed because they featured the image in a slideshow on their website<\/a>. \u00a0I still can’t decide which is more amazing – an image or my name in an article – but they both leave me speechless and a wee bit excited.<\/p>\n
