and Erik&#8217;s Engagement Session at Portage Lakes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I guess it&#8217;s a good thing if I&#8217;ve managed to make it 7 years before I had rain actually interrupt an engagement session, right? \u00a0Usually we have rain dates and backup plans but Erik&#8217;s time home didn&#8217;t really allow for much wiggle room and when the radar looked promising we decided to go for it and cross our fingers that rain wouldn&#8217;t come our way. \u00a0Unfortunately rain came along midway through the session but it wasn&#8217;t too bad and the bonus was that it cleared the beach up of the few stragglers that were hanging out capturing the last few moments of daylight so we had the place entirely to ourselves. \u00a0The downside was that once the rain cleared the mosquitos came and BOY did they. \u00a0Holy cow. \u00a0I think I&#8217;m still recovering from that session! \u00a0Ha! \u00a0We were a feast for a few bugs that night but the light was beautiful and I&#8217;m glad these guys hung around for those last images.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you both for being so fun to work with and I can&#8217;t wait to see you again next summer!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: hiding beneath the trees while the rain passed us by I couldn&#8217;t pass up the chance for a few portraits, the light was really lovely.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img had no idea this beach even existed. \u00a0I&#8217;d been to the lakes many times but always in boats, I had no idea there was this beach!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" here how moody the clouds were, storms were going all around us but luckily they all missed us and we only had a spot of rain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" there were SO MANY MOSQUITOS here because I loved the light coming in through the trees here but the bugs were just way too insane so we captured these two images and quickly moved on. \u00a0 There were so many I actually had to photoshop them off of their skin because you could see them biting them. \u00a0THANK YOU GUYS for toughing it out for these few images because they are my favorite. \u00a0Oh wait, the other one was. \u00a0Well these are TOO! \u00a0&lt;3<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5091\"
