It’s been a few months since I last saw Monica and Daniel<\/a> and I was eagerly awaiting their wedding. The day though – well the forecast had me worried. \u00a0Rain, rain and more rain. \u00a0The whole drive to Monica’s parents house – rain. \u00a0I was worried but was crossing my fingers and hoping that we would get lucky. \u00a0Luck came in. \u00a0Just as we arrived at The Lake Club \u00a0the rain stopped and while the clouds were gloomy it was NOT raining! \u00a0Then the clouds parted and midway through dinner there was the most AMAZING sunset and thankfully Monica and Daniel were willing to go outside and play with the sunset with me for a little bit. \u00a0It was that kind of day – the day where amazing sunsets happen for amazing clients.<\/p>\n

Oh and the cookie table? \u00a0PHENOMENAL. \u00a0I snuck one cookie and it was amazing! \u00a0Guests were raving about them all night.<\/p>\n

I loved that Monica had custom hangers for all of the girls – not only was it prettier to photograph but everyone knew which gown was theirs!<\/p>\n

We had some down time at the church before Monica got dressed and everyone just relaxed and chatted with one another.<\/p>\n

Daniel sent over a sweet gift and a lovely letter for Monica to read before the wedding.<\/p>\n

THIS DRESS! \u00a0OMG! \u00a0Seriously, it was so amazing.<\/p>\n

I popped in for a quick visit with the guys while they were waiting for the ceremony to begin in the TINIEST room I’ve ever seen guys in but I spied these awesome cufflinks on Daniel and caught a picture of then while he was chatting with his friends.<\/p>\n

Blessed Sacrament Parish is one of the neater churches I’ve worked in. \u00a0I was here before with Ashley and Adam<\/a> but it was a bright sunny day which made the venue look totally different.<\/p>\n

Monica’s Dad was so darn sweet.<\/p>\n

Right before this I swear I heard him say “take care of my girl” to Daniel before handing Monica off and everyone teared up, myself included.<\/p>\n

I kept hearing about the amazing stairs at The Lake Club and I’m so glad the rain went away so I could play on them – they are gorgeous as are these ladies!<\/p>\n

The guys were pretty dapper themselves!<\/p>\n

This may be one of my favorite groomsman pics ever.<\/p>\n

This was a large bridal party but they were a ton of fun!<\/p>\n

Ok this may be the favorite groomsman shot of the day. \u00a0It’s hard to pick!<\/p>\n

I went back to the stairs for a few more portraits.<\/p>\n

We went around to the other side of the club opting to not go out onto the course because it was pretty muddy and made use of the green space near the ballroom.<\/p>\n

While they did a receiving line into the reception (which I love when couples do!) I bopped around and captured a few details of their reception. \u00a0I LOVED this cake and the topper. \u00a0The simple cake with gold dots and pink ribbon was elegant and perfect for their wedding.<\/p>\n

The table numbers were printed on vellum and the way the light was coming in they all lit up as if they were lit from within.<\/p>\n

After they finished eating (but long before their guests did) I saw that the skies had cleared and the sunset was looking promising. \u00a0I HATE to take my clients away from their guests but since the guests were still chewing and the sunset was amazing… I asked if they would want to go outside for a few more images. \u00a0I’m SO glad they said yes!<\/p>\n

Once the guests finished their meals we got the parent dances underway and I adore this image of Monica and her father.<\/p>\n

While the party kicked off I scurried off with the rings and loved this result from a tiny nook on the cookie table.<\/p>\n
