It’s always fun when I get to shoot sessions that are based on referrals from past clients. I heart my clients, I really<\/strong> do. If it wasn’t for Devin & Heidi<\/a>, I wouldn’t have booked Erin & Tony<\/a>. If Sheena & Jeremy hadn’t of seen both of those sessions, they wouldn’t have booked me. It’s crazy to see what kind of a waterfall effect happens from just one happy client. Like I’ve said many times before, I am so lucky and blessed to have such wonderful people to call clients.<\/p>\n

Sheena and Jeremy are getting married this June (ironically the same day as Erin and Tony!) in Negril, Jamaica. After seeing the wintery shoot that I had with Erin and Tony they decided that kind of session was exactly what they wanted to contrast with their summer beach wedding pictures. They also wanted to bring along their adorable doggie daughter Bella for some pictures since they won’t be able to take her to Jamaica. I LOVE when clients bring their dogs along with them! Not only does it capture you guys as a family for probably the first time, it also tends to relax everyone as it’s hard to be nervous when a dog is wanting to be played with! Dogs are great ice breakers!<\/p>\n

I had such a fun time wandering around Hudson with these two! I’m a smidge bummed that I won’t be able to be in sunny Jamaica with them for their wedding but I hear rumors that I’ll be playing with them in August when they have their reception at home!<\/p>\n

I love when people bring their dogs along to shoots, makes for super cute pictures like this one which happens to be my favorite!<\/p>\n

While it wasn’t quite sub-zero it was still darn cold, these guys are troopers! \u00a0Sheena was wearing heeled boots!<\/p>\n

One big bummer about our rescheduled date? \u00a0Main Street Cupcakes was closed. \u00a0We were very sad!<\/p>\n

We popped into The Learned Owl<\/a> for some pictures and thawing out. \u00a0Sheena and Jeremy are “book nerds” as they called themselves and as I am one myself, the bookstore was straight up my alley! \u00a0This is seriously an adorable bookstore and if you are ever in the area you must stop by.<\/p>\n

Sometimes, the coolest spots are ones you randomly see and think are cool. \u00a0This is some of the awesome icicles that formed at the back of a building in Hudson. \u00a0I love this shot for a million reasons but probably mostly because it was random.<\/p>\n

What is also really awesome is when a picture turns out like you saw it in your head. \u00a0Sounds like it’s something that’s easy to do but sometimes it’s hard to get images the way you see them in your mind in camera. \u00a0Next to Crazy But True<\/a> I saw these gas meters and I thought they’d make an interesting frame around Sheena and Jeremy. \u00a0You don’t always need sunshine and grass to make a good image.<\/p>\n

You don’t have to have spring temperatures to have colorful flowers in engagement pics! \u00a0You can always pop in a florist and see if you can take some pics! \u00a0On our way back to our cars, we passed by The Greenhouse<\/a> and the zippy colors caught my eye and we asked if we could take a few quick pics inside and they graciously allowed us to do so.<\/p>\n

I always love to finish up engagement sessions with a ring shot and this shoot followed suit. \u00a0I LOVE the way this ring shot turned out!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
