{"id":994,"date":"2010-03-24T10:11:22","date_gmt":"2010-03-24T14:11:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/?p=994"},"modified":"2011-09-07T20:28:58","modified_gmt":"2011-09-08T00:28:58","slug":"viva-las-vegas-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coreyann.com\/blog\/viva-las-vegas-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Viva Las Vegas!!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At the beginning of the month, my hubby and I headed out to Las Vegas for the annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wppionline.com\" target=\"_blank\">WPPI <\/a>convention. \u00a0In the years past, I&#8217;ve done some more in depth learning with photographers and group shoots but this year I wanted to lay low and just enjoy it without stressing about shoots and so forth. \u00a0It was nice to carry around my (NEW!) point and shoot everywhere and just enjoy! \u00a0I did bring out the SLR on the final day though&#8230; I couldn&#8217;t help it! \u00a0So here&#8217;s some eye candy from Las Vegas that doesn&#8217;t include a whit of models!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/vlv-1.jpg\" alt=\"view from the signature in las vegas\" width=\"598\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The view from our balcony at The Signature at MGM Grand. \u00a0LOVED our room &#8211; I am so glad we stayed here. \u00a0The views were amazing and having the ability to have fresh air made everything so much better!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/vlv-2.jpg\" alt=\"view from the signature in las vegas\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The view at night from the balcony!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/vlv-3.jpg\" alt=\"the titanic artifact exhibition at the luxor in las vegas\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">On our last day we skipped most things having to do with the convention and went out into the city. \u00a0For YEARS I&#8217;ve been wanting to go to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.luxor.com\/attractions\/attractions_titanic.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Titanic Exhibition<\/a> at the Luxor and I FINALLY made it! \u00a0While I&#8217;ve been to a lot of them, it&#8217;s always something I enjoy &#8211; especially when I get to take someone new to it. \u00a0Chris had never been so this was the first time for him to see my OTHER love &#8211; Titanic \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/vlv-4.jpg\" alt=\"the titanic artifact exhibition at the luxor in las vegas\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I saw the big piece for the first time in 2000 with famed Titanic historian Don Lynch next to me &#8211; which was quite an experience in itself to tour the exhibit with him alongside me. \u00a0Back then, you were able to touch it which was pretty cool. \u00a0Now it&#8217;s roped off and you can&#8217;t touch it anymore but it&#8217;s still pretty impressive to see.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/vlv-5.jpg\" alt=\"lion habitat at mgm grand in las vegas\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">While we had grand ideas about going out into the city more, the weather which turned cold and rainy had other ideas. \u00a0We went back to the MGM and I took some pictures of the lions in the habitat they have.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/vlv-6.jpg\" alt=\"lion habitat at mgm grand in las vegas\" width=\"598\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">They rotate the animals they have in the habitat with the lions on the reserve. \u00a0This was the first time I&#8217;d seen a lion in the habitat and I was happy that it was also the day I had my camera on me \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0He&#8217;s pretty impressive looking isn&#8217;t he?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/vlv-7.jpg\" alt=\"lion habitat at mgm grand in las vegas\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">It&#8217;s interesting how they went about their business and didn&#8217;t pay any attention to any of the onlokers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/vlv-8.jpg\" alt=\"las vegas strip at night\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">We ended up taking a walk from the MGM down to the Las Vegas sign (luckily the weather cleared up!). \u00a0I grabbed this shot through the fence on the walkway over to Excalibur from Tropicana of The Strip. \u00a0The overstreet walkways are pretty awesome and necessary on The Strip due to the crazy traffic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/vlv-9.jpg\" alt=\"welcome to las vegas sign\" width=\"598\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">After about a good 45 minute hike, we made it to the sign!!!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/vlv-10.jpg\" alt=\"mgm grand in las vegas at night from the strip\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The MGM Grand = aka home base for the week. \u00a0Last year I stayed in the main hotel which was nice and had great views (the green part) but I have to say that The Signature kicked it&#8217;s butt (the towers above the lions head in the background).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyann.net\/vlv-11.jpg\" alt=\"new york new york hotel in las vegas at night\" width=\"598\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">New York New York hotel &#8211; home of my favorite pizza on the strip!
