Married: M and R

At the request of the bride and groom, I cannot post images of the groom from this wedding/day after session. However they did graciously agree to allow me to use a few images from the wedding of the bride and some details!
This wedding took place the weekend after Thanksgiving at Tensing Pen in Negril, Jamaica at sunset on the cliffs. It was a very intimate ceremony with only a few close family members in attendance in addition to myself and my second shooter, my husband. It was a gorgeous ceremony in a beautiful setting with a nearly perfect sunset. The light reception was held in the Sea Song Hut behind where the couple were married and the sun dropped away as the couple feasted on some delicious food provided by the resort. The day after we headed down to the beach and got some amazing images in at Seven Mile Beach and enjoyed the fine white sand that you hear about in all the travel brochures.
Tomorrow I will be posting images from the trip but today are some images that I am permitted to post from the wedding! Enjoy!

Engaged: Craig and Deanna

Back on a chilly day in November I met up with Craig and Deanna at Crocker Park to do their engagement session. While not the typical spot for engagement sessions, Deanna wanted to do their session here since this is where their first date was, where she knew he was “the one” and where Craig intended to propose (some pesky kids ruined that though!). It may not be a pretty park or gorgeous location, but the sentimental reason trumps any tree or awesome looking architecture in my book!
Craig and Deanna have such a beautiful sweet love. It’s not the kind that when you see them knock you on your feet, but it’s the kind that wraps you up like a cozy blanket and makes you feel all warm and fuzzy. Craig is so tender with Deanna and she is so in love with him – it was awesome to be able to capture some of that on camera. Thanks to you both for allowing me to take pictures of your engagement session!

The fireplace is the location where Craig wanted to propose (before he found out it was taken over by some kids!) so we HAD to go there!

This is the spot where Deanna knew he was “the one.”

Aloha!

I know that my blog has been really quiet lately, I apologize! I spent the week after Thanksgiving in Jamaica for a destination wedding, came home for three days, shot Karolyn and Thomas’s wedding and then left for Hawaii the next morning. I came to Hawaii to attend Mike Colon’s workshop to finish out the year hopefully on a good note with lots of great ideas to bring to the business in the new year. The workshop so far has been amazing. I’ve met a lot of great new people and we’ve had some great shoots. I also am in absolute LOVE with Maui. It is so beautiful here and the weather is amazing. I am currently sitting in our amazing room at the Hyatt listening to the ocean crash below me.
Here’s a teaser of some of the images I shot on Monday of Rosanna. Her and Jared just got engaged so we all shot their engagement shoot. Rosanna is seriously adorable and such a natural model. She is GORGEOUS but also the sweetest person. Jared is also awesome and so kind to her, their love shows so well on camera. They were soooo fun to shoot. Enjoy the pics!

This was taken outside the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurant. I was amused.

You know I love shoes/feet!

A car drove by and they spontaneously started dancing!
