Miss Sydney’s Easter

I’m back and finally back into the swing of things from my trip to New Orleans to see some friends and take some portraits of their children. It was sad coming home because I was certainly enjoying the gorgeous Louisiana sunshine but luckily Ohio decided to go easy on us and gift us with similar weather to greet me back home with! Has everyone else enjoyed the lovely weather??? It’s been wonderful!

I’m going to start off with the first day of my trip – Easter Sunday. I stayed with my good friend Kimberly and we went to her parents house for dinner straight from the airport and I enjoyed some lovely Southern Hospitality. Her parents are seriously the sweetest people and did everything they could to ensure there was plenty for me to eat and enjoy! Then of course I got to see Sydney (Kimberly’s daughter) open her basket from the Easter Bunny and play with the new bubbles that he left for her. Of course this made for some great pics! I got to put my new Nikon D700 through the paces in keeping up with a very active 3 year old!!

In the next few days I’ll be posting the rest of my images from the trip including the new addition to my Louisiana friends, Miss Carolina whom is 5 months young and has the most gorgeous eyes. She’s the sister of Miss Petra – the flower girl from my wedding!

Enjoy!

Sydney’s first Viewfinder!!! Who else had one of these and adored them as a child!? I know I did!

Playing with bubbles!

So much concentration!

A quick close up with my 85 1.4 of Sydney’s eyelashes which are gorgeous! I usually don’t do any crazy cross-processing being a fan of natural colors but I felt like this one needed a bit of a vintage tint.

Nothing like finishing out the evening by farting on your Aunt! 🙂
