Springfield Bog Metro Park Family Session in October

Springfield Bog Metro Park Family Session

It had been a while since I had last photographed this family and it was so fun to see them again!  It was a really perfect fall day – overcast skies, a bit of a crispness to the air and the scent of leaves.  Can you tell I am ready for fall?  This summer has been so humid!!

We went to a new location to me, Springfield Bog Metro Park for their family session and I hope to return again sometime soon.  It’s such a perfect little spot with lots of great spots for photos.  There were quite a lot of photographers there so it’s not a secret location but the layout of the space allows for lots of goings on to be taking place without having to wait for people to get out of your shot which is nice.  The fall colors here were especially perfect!

I always love how this family is styled and this session was equally as well styled.  Great fall colors that were perfectly coordinated without being matchy-matchy.  If you’re looking for someone’s style to emulate, here you go!

Thank you again for trusting me with your precious family portraits!

Maine in October

Ogunquit Maine in October

As you may know by now, I typically travel to New England in the fall, generally in mid-to-late October when the leaves are stunning and right at the end of what we in the industry call the ‘wedding season’ (which is May – October).  Due to a wedding in Virginia in 2017 I skipped the annual trip the year before and was quite excited to go back in 2018, this time with my husband along for the ride.  Usually I do this trip solo but he hadn’t been out in the fall to New England yet and agreed to go along.  It was fun to show him all of my favorite places and discover a few new ones along the way!

Usually I break up these trip posts but since I’m so far behind on blogging I’m going to put it all in one post so buckle up and enjoy!  There will be a few iPhone photos mixed in with the camera photos since I love to blog about where I went/did along with the pretty perfect things since when I look at blogs about trips I like to get ideas for my own trip.  I may be a photographer but I rarely drag out my camera for meals and quick stops.  Shame on me LOL.

Greystone Hall Wedding with Alyssa and Taylor

Akron Wedding at Greystone Hall

After their engagement session I knew that my wedding with Alyssa and Taylor would be a wonderful day.  The day was threatening rain but thankfully we were able to do their outdoor photos before the clouds let loose.  It was a beautiful autumn day with a crispness to the air that reminds you that snow isn’t too far off.

Their whole day was so full of love and smiles it was impossible not to smile all day!  These two have such a sweet love and were a joy to work with.  Their families and bridal parties were also a joy.  There were lots of smiles and a few happy tears throughout the day.

The cherry on the top was that I had my “minion” back with me for this wedding, Nicole, and it was fun to work together one more time!  She is expecting next month so it may have been the last time so I’m glad we at least got one more wedding in together.

Thank you both SO much for trusting your beautiful day to me!  It was a pleasure to work with you all!
