Ariel International Center Wedding in Cleveland with Caitlyn and Simone

Bride and groom standing in front of greenery outside of Cleveland Museum of Art in the Summer before their wedding

I loved looking back and reflecting on Caitlyn and Simone’s wedding so so much! I had just the best day with these two, they were so relaxed and just had a great day together. Caitlyn got ready at the Ariel International Center and they opted to do their first look up on the spectacular rooftop where they would later say I Do before heading over to the Cleveland Museum of Art for photos with their family and bridal party before the wedding. It’s not often we are able to do this but it all worked out SO well and both of their families were just the best to work with!

It was Labor Day weekend and if you’re from the Cleveland area or have been you know what that means – loud planes. My clients either love it or hate it but these two embraced it for the random chaos it was and I’m still happy I managed to capture a couple photos with the planes photobombing them!

Their ceremony was SO emotional and everyone was crying happy tears by the end!

The reception was so much fun and the scheduling was lax enough to allow for photos during sunset and before I left with the Cleveland skyline.

It has been a while since I’ve been at the Ariel International Center for a wedding and it was a joy to return for such a beautiful day. Luckily I got to see this sweet couple again this past summer for some family photos and I hope that wasn’t the last time I see them!

Congrats to you both and thank you so much for trusting me to capture your day!

Sun Valley Wedding with Anisha and Karim

Bride and Groom smiling in front of a wedding arch shaped like a triangle at Sun Valley wedding venue in Chagrin Falls Ohio

I’m so thrilled to finally be back to blogging, especially with this glorious wedding! I had sun an amazing day at Sun Valley with Anisha and Karim!

They had *such* a beautiful wedding day – from the perfect weather, to the beautiful ceremony service (one of the best I’ve ever been to, Minister Sharnise Shears is AMAZING), to the fun wedding reception with so many heartfelt toasts – it was all perfection! I really loved the custom lining that Karim had for his coat by Self Made Couture with photos of loved ones so he’d have them close to his heart throughout the day.  I was also LOVING Anisha’s entire beautiful ensemble, her gown was a stunner.

It was my first time at Sun Valley to photograph a wedding and I’m so glad it wasn’t my last because this venue is so lovely. The staff is wonderful and it’s just such a great addition to the Northeast Ohio offerings for venues where everything can be done on site. I love how easy it was to move from one space to the next and the guests loved spreading out throughout the evening to the outdoor patio and some even went back to the ceremony space to just enjoy the lovely evening!

It was such a joy and honor to document your beautiful day, many congratulations to you both!

Manakiki and Pine Ridge Country Club Wedding with Chantal and Josh

Bride and groom posing underneath the bride's veil in Ohio after wedding ceremony at Manakiki Golf Course

I had such a lovely day with Chantal and Josh back in August of 2022 (I’m still so far behind on blogging but I swear I’m catching up!). It’s always going to be a wonderful day when I’m working with Kirkbrides and I had the extra magic of having Dennis Crider along as my second photographer this day.

Chantal and Josh got ready and had their ceremony at one of my favorite spots in Northeast Ohio – Manakiki Golf Course! It’s changed hands a few times since I started photographing weddings here in 2008 but it’s always beautiful and their getting ready space is just SO good and their ceremony space is perfection.

Their ceremony was so wonderful – Josh was so smitten when he saw Chantal for the first time, I can’t wait for you to see the photo because it says it all. But before that moment was the epic entrance of their flower guy, every wedding needs a flower guy / flower dude. You can feel the energy change in a room when one is present. They are magic. After their lovely ceremony their guests tossed lavender (AH, it smelled SO GOOD) as they walked back down the aisle.

After their ceremony we headed over to Chantal’s parents house for a few photos before heading over to Coulby Mansion to finish up their portraits. This group was such a blast to work with – you know that any wedding with a Flower Guy is going to be fun!

Speaking of flowers – I loved the happy pop of the sunflowers sprinkled throughout the day! It’s a flower I don’t see often enough at weddings and they are just so happy! I loved them in the bouquets popping against the light lavender bridesmaid gowns!

For their reception they moved over to Pine Ridge Country Club where it was the perfect balance of emotional and sweet and fun! I always love working weddings at Pine Ridge Country Club / Dino’s Catering because they do SUCH a great job at running weddings. Everything always runs so smoothly and guests love the space there! The ballroom is large enough to fit everyone but there’s extra rooms for the guests that prefer to separate from the group and sit and chat away from the loud music. It’s always fun to see how people spread out throughout the night.

Thank you both so much for trusting me to capture your wedding! Congratulations again!
