Oh my gosh, I cannot begin to tell you how much fun I had with Jacquelyn and Xavier. They were such a great couple to work with! Xavier is quite the ham – it made for SUCH a fun day… even if I kept getting songs stuck in my head that Xavier was singing.
They started their day with a first look before we headed out into the city for pictures around downtown. Since they had a smaller bridal party we were able to pop in and out of a lot of locations quickly which was nice. Since it was a Friday we were able to even get into The Old Courthouse without paying! Thank you kind security guard!
Their ceremony and reception was at the Hyatt Arcade (by far one of my favorites downtown) and it was a perfect day. There’s few indoor ceremony locations that beat the lighted staircase! After the ceremony they partied with their friends all night long and smiles never left their faces. Thank you both for having me along for your wonderful day!
Ceremony & Reception Venue: Hyatt Regency Cleveland at the Arcade / Cake: Wild Flour Bakery / DJ: A Bride’s DJ / Florist: Affordable Florals / Colors: Champagne & Black / Photo Locations: Shooter’s, Heritage Park, The Old Courthouse and East 4th Street
I had fun taking the dress for an excursion! I loved this spot for a picture of the dress!
They did their first look on the stairs where they would later be married. It was perfect!
After their first look we headed out with the bridal party (who was also their siblings) for pictures on the town.
How pretty are the flowers and these black dresses with their lace sleeves? LOVE!
The ever popular jackknife bridge!
There’s a reason why it’s popular – it’s just such a unique and very Cleveland spot!
I find it fun how all of my Hyatt brides have really incorporated the look of the Arcade into their gowns.
Jackie’s dress was no different, it was a gorgeous gown that matched the venue perfectly!
The guys looked wonderful in their suits.
Xavier couldn’t help himself, he had to dance!
We then headed over to the west bank of the river for some portraits at my favorite spot for skyline images.
It was a well timed passing of the Goodtime III!! My favorite pic of the day!
These two were soooo easy to work with!
We made a quick stop at the courthouse and the guard let us in for a few minutes. It’s rare to see the old courthouse this empty!
One last stop on East 4th before the ceremony!
They ordered a sign from the same company that Sarah used for her wedding at the Hyatt.
This is the reason I tell people that a first look won’t ruin the moments like this at the ceremony. Despite spending time with each other before the ceremony, Xavier is just as excited when he sees Jackie start down the aisle towards him as anyone without a first look. 🙂
Jackie’s Mom escorted her down the long aisle to the ceremony area at the Hyatt.
Sigh. I just love this spot!
These custom coasters with trivia about how they met were so darn cute.
The cake from Wild Flour was gorgeous and the location can’t be beat!
I love all of the lights at the Hyatt Arcade and how they add ambiance to the decor of a wedding reception.
The simple candles and table numbers were perfect centerpieces for the reception.
I can’t stop laughing when I see this picture. Ha!
We snuck in a quick portrait before they headed down the stairs to their reception.
By far one of the coolest ways to enter a reception!
The rest of the reception was just as fun and full of smiles as their first dance was!
