Wedding | Jenny + Brian | Rocky River, OH

•  Both Jenny & Brian live out of state so the first time I met them was the day of the wedding – as it is with many of my couples.  They live in sunny Colorado and I have been there and completely GET why so many Ohioans – including my cousin – have settled there.  It’s amazing what a bit of sunlight can do to your outlook on life!

•  I hate to be biased BUT I think Jenny wins hands down for the most awesome bouquet I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.  Yes, I said meet because this sucker had so much personality!!!  It all started when she was given a broach and didn’t quite know what to do with it.  One thing lead to another and 2 weeks before the wedding she decided to make a broach bouquet.  I was breathless when I walked into her room and saw it.  It was simply breathtaking.  I’m still in awe of it.  Yes, it was heavy but not really much more heavy than a flower laden bouquet of the same size.  Ahhh.  I could stare at that sucker for days…. and how it glittered in the sun!

•  Want to make your own broach bouquet??  Jenny had the best.idea.ever for future brides (she wasn’t able to utilize this idea since it was last minute).  For the bridal shower, she suggested having everyone wrap their gifts with a broach instead of a bow.  That way when you make your bouquet you have a bit of everyone that’s close to your heart with you!  If you have a theme, make sure to mention it to the party throwers.  Isn’t that idea perfect?  If I was getting married again, I would so do this and I am a flower lover!

•  Their wedding day had simply perfect weather, sunny skies and warm temperatures.  It was a smidge breezy on the beach but being Ohio and the first weekend in October anything can (and has) happened!

•  Jenny confessed to reading my blog a lot *waves* and one thing that I’m glad she took to heart was planning extra time!!!  Getting ready took a bit longer than planned but since she had planned extra time AND planned for a first look we were a-ok for time for pictures!  ALWAYS overplan for time!!!!

Isn’t it amazing??

Getting Jenny’s dress to pose for a picture wasn’t easy, there wasn’t any place to hang it and I had to get a bit creative.  Here it’s on the bed, propped up inside with pillows.  I actually LOVED the end result!

Getting into the dress takes a small army!

Our first location is one of my favorites on the west side.  It’s hard not to love the gorgeous waterfalls and landscapes at this park!

Jenny and Brian were also so fun to play with!  Quite full of beautiful smiles!

The entire bridal party was quite stunning.  I loved the grey suits!!!

Our second stop was a beach not far from the church, it was not only gorgeous but completely empty!

My favorite shot of the day!  *happy sigh*

After the beach we scooted over to the church where there were some very emotional “I Do’s” and a very awesome priest.  He actually stepped aside during the vows so that I had clear shots of the couple without him in it.  How amazing is that?!?

Next up was a revisit to Springvale Ballroom!!  Jenny actually came across my blog of Jillian and Kevin and fell in love with the images from there and incorporated a lot of their ideas into their reception.  So pretty!

They had a crazy fun entrance which also had an impromptu dance included.

Listening to the Maid of Honor give a beautiful speech.

The best man gives another fantastic speech.

They did a quick but fun cake cutting!

Their first dance was sweet and lovely!

The rest of the night was full of non stop fun!  The bridesmaids were on the ball making sure the bride was taken care off all evening.  This is one of my favorites of one of the maids making sure the bride was not parched!

Thanks so much for hiring me!  It was a lovely day!
