• You may remember this couple from their lovely engagement session with their dog and some amazing sunset sunshine last summer.
• I was blessed to have my faithful sidekick Nicole along this day.
• The day of the wedding we often wear many hats besides just the photographer. This was one of the weddings where we helped out in areas outside of just photography including sewing, dress fluffing and being firefighters. LOL! In the past I’ve also done makeup, hair, made bouquets, bustled MANY trains and much more.
• This wedding was one that exemplified why you need to have a professional at your wedding and not someone who just does it on the side. The ceremony was in a gorgeous chapel but it was very dark. Luckily it was no issue for our Nikon D700’s but any camera lower in grade would have had a rough time as no flash photography was allowed. The outdoor portraits took place just as the sun was setting and it was almost dark. Not easy to shoot! The reception was also completely dark outside of the DJ lights once the dancing started. If there was a photographer that didn’t know their flash and how to work it they would have been in trouble. It was a hard day but I’m proud of the job we did.
• Joe and Marta had one of the funnest receptions I’ve seen in a long time. Almost everyone got out on the dance floor at least once and if they didn’t they sat nearby the floor and enjoyed watching. Smiles were a plenty and a good time was had by all.
