• After their engagement session, which was so wonderfully fun I couldn’t wait until their wedding date!
• Their wedding was the last wedding in Ohio (heck even the USA) for 2010 for me (my last wedding of 2010 was in Cozumel, Mexico). It was such a wonderful way to end my very wonderful year! A great day with a splendid couple! You couldn’t ask for nicer people!
• Melissa and Chris are both HUGE OSU fans. So imagine how freaking excited they were when part of the OSU marching band showed up and played at their reception. Keeping that secret was tough but I’m glad that I knew what was coming to be prepared! They were SO surprised and ridiculously psyched. It was a moment I know they will relive for a lifetime.
• One of Melissa’s wishes when we started talking about her wedding day was that she really hoped that some leaves would be left. I was worried but she got lucky, it was chilly but there was just a few leaves on the trees left!
• Melissa and Chris continued one of my absolute favorite trends of 2010, parents in the bridal party! Chris’s Dad was his Best Man and I LOVE that!
• Their wedding cake vendor has the neatest policy – for every cake purchased one goes to underprivileged children in the area! I love that so much!

Chris stayed with the guys while I headed over to meet up with the girls.
Melissa was a pretty calm bride!
I loooooved her dress!
I loved that the flower girl dropped one single petal!
Their wedding date was the first snowfall of the season so there was some snow mixed in with the bubbles which actually looked quite pretty!
Melissa’s parents have a similar picture in the same car that they used for their getaway car from their wedding so this was tops on her “must have” list. I love when brides have shots like these they want to recreate from their parents wedding album, it’s a neat tradition to carry on!
The bridal party all braved the elements to get a few quick shots outside.
Melissa and Chris were kind to their bridal party and let them get warm while they stayed outside with me for a few more pictures.
They didn’t feel the cold at all 🙂
My favorite shot of them, so relaxed and happy!
Another “must have” shot Melissa wanted was of them jumping on the bed! I was more than happy to oblige!
The new black glass dance floor was brand new that day at the Sheraton. I was terrified I was going to fall on it it was so shiny and slick. Sadly someone did end up falling that night (not me) but luckily they were okay. It was gorgeous but scary! Made for some fun reflections though!
Their first dance was lovely!
I love this ring shot! Ironically Melissa’s set is almost an exact match of my own wedding rings! They’ve got good taste!
I love the look here, “don’t you dare smash that in my face!”
I think you can safely surmise that they were VERY shocked when the OSU Marching Band arrived at their reception.
…and they were quite thrilled!
The band was a HUGE hit at the reception and probably one of the funnest surprises I’ve seen happen! They played three songs and even spelled OHIO on the dance floor.
I love it when Grandmas dance!!!
The Mother of the Groom sang along with the band for “Country Roads” and it was a huge hit!
At the end of the night Melissa and Chris had take home pizzas delivered from Chris’s favorite pizza place (Donatos!) with images from their engagement session on top. FUN!
