When I heard about Gervasi Vineyard opening literally down the street from my house, I could barely contain my excitement. Not only was I excited about something that was bound to be beautiful nearby, I knew that more than likely there would be weddings there and that meant that if I booked a wedding there, my commute home would be less than 2 minutes and that made me want to do a jig. However, the stars kept crossing and no matter how many times I’ve came “this close” to booking a wedding here, things have never quite worked out due to being already booked for the date. I have been fortunate enough to photograph a few sessions on their gorgeous property but I still wanted a wedding here! This year my luck has finally changed and I have TWO weddings here this year! Hooray! Jill and Keith braved the cold a few months ago for their engagement session at Gervasi and we got to return on a completely opposite weather day for their wedding reception in June and it was a picture perfect day.
I started the day out with Jill and her bridesmaids at Jill’s parents house which is even closer to me than Gervasi, I have to say, it was really strange to just drive a few blocks to get there! These bridesmaids were so sweet and helpful all day and I can’t thank them enough for being so great to work with. In fact, that was the whole day from Jill and Keith, to their families, bridal party and guests – everyone was so kind and sweet that it just made the whole day one big smile for me. Jill is an amazing jewelry designer and we spent some time making sure that her lovely works were photographed along with her and her lovely ladies in waiting before we headed off to the ceremony location in Downtown Canton. After the ceremony we jetted back to Gervasi for a few quick pictures before heading inside for some amazing food and then fun dancing. It was a great night and a perfect end to a wonderful day.

I love this image of Jill’s Mom and Maid of Honor getting her into her gown.
One of Jill’s requests was an image she saw online of the wedding rings tucked into the corset of the wedding dress. While I did the shot she was asking for (straight on) I saw this image in my mind and created the “Corey” version of what she was asking and this immediately became one of my favorite ring shots I’ve ever taken.
I love when I can play with natural window light for a bridal portrait!
I adored the colors of these ladies gowns! Such a GREAT color!
Keith sent down a letter to Jill while she was waiting for the ceremony to start and tears began to flow as she read it but thankfully her makeup was still perfect afterwards, whew!
Always one of my favorite moments from a wedding day, Dad walking his darling bride down the aisle.
Aren’t they just adorable?
*kiss*
We didn’t have long for portraits so it was pretty quickly done but luckily there isn’t a bad spot in Gervasi to photograph a bridal party at!
These guys were just awesome!
The ladies love to laugh!
The guys HAD to mimic it and it resulted in one of my favorites from the day.
FINALLY I got to play with just the lovebirds and I love this semi-serious wedding portrait of theirs.
These two! AUGH! So darn adorable!
We have a similar portrait from their engagement session so I wanted another one here to bookend the first image.
Just Keith!
We were able to pop in the gazebo/greenhouse near their reception location at the Villa Grande and this image may be my favorite of all of their portraits.
THE CAKE! Their friend Doug made their cake and let me tell you, it was DELICIOUS. So, so, so good. I can’t rave enough about it. It was pretty AND divine, a rare combination!
YUM.
During their first dance they had other couples join them on the dance floor midway through. This image, by far, is my favorite from their first dance.
Jill is a jewelry designer and she designed both of their wedding bands. I adore the key band of hers SO much. Isn’t it amazing? I also love that you can see the reflection of their reception in Keith’s band.
They had SO much fun dancing and enjoying the company of their friends and family.
I went out to see what sunset was looking like before leaving for the night and I have to say, it wasn’t too shabby of a sunset at Gervasi!
Thank you both SO much for having me along on your wedding day!!!
