I apologize for the radio silence on the blog lately, between the craziness that is wedding season, the whole craziness of the Unplugged Wedding blog, a trip to Colorado and a minor surgery I have been really, really, busy. I have a wee bit of downtime due to said surgery so I’m hoping to get caught back up before the snow flies! Ha!
Early in June, I had such a great evening with Charles and Kendra in their current hometown of Tremont. I’ll be honest, I haven’t spent a lot of time in Tremont outside of quick stops for a meal or a reception. The roads are crazy and usually under construction, the parking is a nightmare and did I mention the roads are crazy?! However, I’m glad to finally have had a tour of the little city and got to finally understand why everyone loves this little nook of Tremont. We started the session at the amazing building where they live which is a converted warehouse and ended the session at a place I’ve been dying to see, A Christmas Story House. It was such a great evening and a session I’ll definitely remember for years.
I love, love, love Kendra’s dress. I can’t even put into words how much I adore her dress!
They already had their favorite places picked out for the session and this sign is a definite must have!
Weird but I love the way the church coordinates with Kendra’s dress!
Ironically one of my favorite spots of the day ended up being this great building near where we parked to go to the park and gazebo, which wasn’t originally on the list of places to go.
Isn’t this ivy wall amazing? I couldn’t resist! Also take note of their clothing change and how awesome Kendra’s shoes are.
Sorry, sometimes the fact that I am a girl really comes out.
This made me laugh and instantly was a favorite of the day.
Our next stop was one of their favorite local restaurants, The Tremont Tap House. I don’t drink on the job but I hope to return someday and try one of their beer cocktails!
I love this picture of them outside the Tap House. So cute!
So during dinner we were discussing photo locations for their wedding and I happened to bring up how much I wanted to someday visit A Christmas Story house (it’s a favorite movie of mine!). They mentioned that they knew it was close but it was one of those places they hadn’t been to either. We found out just HOW close we were and they were game for going over for a cheesy picture and here is the result. THIS is how awesome they were! Anyone that’s game for a cheesy picture on a whim wins! 🙂
