Brookside Farm Wedding with Crystal and Robert

Summer wedding at Brookside Farm in Lousiville Ohio

On a summery August day Crystal and Robert said I Do at the always beautiful Brookside Farm.  These two had a few bumps along the road of wedding planning – one being that Crystal’s original dress wasn’t going to be in on time so at the last minute she had to scramble to get a dress at the last minute!  Then a few days before the wedding her original dress DID come in so she ended up being a two dress bride!

The day of the wedding was a hot one and that caused another memorable part of the day’s story: one of the groomsman sadly passed out cold during the ceremony.  Luckily Crystal and Robert thought ahead about the weather the day of their wedding and had a cooler stocked with ice cold water at the door to the barn where the ceremony was held so I RAN to it and grabbed some water for him.  After some water and time he was just fine thankfully!  It certainly scared us all for a few minutes though.  This is why I’m always pushing water the day of a wedding – the heat can sneak up on you!

Despite it all though these two lovebirds had a magical day!  There was SO much love for these two and their families were just the sweetest.  We were also able to sneak away during the reception to get some photos at sunset in the covered bridge!  I was delighted to finally make some images there!

Backyard Wedding with Jessi and Andy

Backyard Wedding in Ohio

One of the things that will always stand out to me about my brides in 2020 and 2021 was how much they were wiling to go with the flow and change things up, even at the last minute, to keep everyone safe.  Jessi and Andy were always planning to say I Do outdoors but they had originally planned an indoor intimate reception for their close family and friends afterwards.  Not long before their date though, things started not looking great again so they decided to host everything outside.

Since it IS Ohio, I kept an eye on the weather and just kept hoping for the best and thankfully while it was hot, it didn’t rain and it was a beautiful evening for a wedding.  The decorations were absolutely PERFECT for an outdoor wedding – the flowers were all from the backyard and garden.  Jessi’s bouquet of flowers is SO perfect!

There was SO much love and happiness for these two.  Their family all spoke during the ceremony and gave beautiful toasts to kick off the reception.  Even their sweet dog was part of the festivities.  I loved that they opted to walk down the aisle together, along with all the other couples that were a part of their lives.

It was a beautiful day with a beautiful couple!  While it may not have been the day they planned originally it ended up as perfect as it could be.

The Tanglewood Club Wedding with Kim and Chris

The Tanglewood Club Wedding in August in Ohio

Oh my gosh, I had SO much fun at Kim and Chris’s wedding at The Tanglewood Club!  From beginning to end I had a huge grin on my face.  These two lovebirds were just so fun and joyful and I still am in LOVE with Kim’s ensemble, that headpiece!!!!!!

Their ceremony was a bit different than where ceremonies normally take place at The Tanglewood Club.  They opted to have it in the full sun in the back of the club vs in the grove of trees and it was a pleasant change from what I’m used to there!  The ceremony was full of smiles and happy tears – Chris may have shed quite a few!

I also stan a girl who knows when to say when and she took her heels off midway through the photos.  After her feet were no longer in pain her smile lit everything up!  Then their reception was just an absolute BLAST where no one stopped dancing the whole night.

Ceremony & Reception: The Tanglewood Club / Bridal Gown: Galleria / Cake: Michael Angelo’s Bakery / DJ: Lo-Key Entertainment / Florist: Mayfield Floral / Menswear: American Commodore /
