Holy crap! FINALLY! I’m at the last blog of 2018 (yes, yes I’m in 2020). YAYYYYY!!!
My last wedding of 2018 was with Annelise and Coleman at Masthead Brewing Company and wow, what a wonderful day it was. It was the warmest New Years Eve I can remember in a long time – but the downside was that it was rainy and really windy so sadly we couldn’t do any photos outside.
Annalise and Coleman had one of the most chill weddings I’ve ever been to and it was such a great way to ring in the new year. They didn’t have a bridal party, they didn’t do a ton of family photos and their only formality outside of the ceremony was their first dance. The rest of the evening was spent dancing, eating pizza (THE RUEBEN PIZZA IS AMAZING) and enjoying the company of friends and family. It really was such a perfect day.
Thank you both for hiring me for your amazing day!
I started the day by meeting up with Annalise and her ladies and Mom at the Hilton in Downtown Cleveland. I’m OBSESSED with the jewelry piece she got to go over her shoulders!
They did their first look in the ceremony area they had setup at Masthead and it was so perfect.
Isn’t this such a neat location for a wedding!?
They poured some beers, duh. It’s what you have to do when your wedding is at a brewery, right?
Sometimes I just have to ask for the cheesy shots!
How fun are their barstools?! No sweetheart table for them! They sat with the guests or at these chairs whenever they sat down (which was rare).
I loved the pine and twinkle lights wrapped around the poles and had to play with them for a few photos!
We originally had planned on taking photos outside around downtown Cleveland before their wedding but sadly the wind and rain changed that. We ended up going back to their hotel, the Hilton Cleveland, and doing some photos in their room. I saw this image when one of them was walking around and made them go back so I could snap a photo of it. It’s one of my favorites for the day.
We spent some time around the hotel before heading back to Masthead Brewing Company for their wedding!
They stuck to simple decor and it was perfect!
Soon enough it was time for the wedding. Coleman’s friend who was also the officiant made sure his bowtie was perfect before Annalise came down the aisle.
I love how everyone had their drinks already by the time Annalise came down the aisle. It was SUCH a fun atmosphere for a wedding ceremony!!
The ceremony was perfect and sweet.
I looooved Annalise’s gown – isn’t it stunning?
Shortly after their ceremony they went right into their first dance which was the only real formality of the evening. I love weddings like this!
From then on it was SUCH a party and I loved every second of it. Some people danced. Others just hung out and ate the delicious food they had from Masthead, others stuck to the bar where the beer was flowing all night.
I giggle every time I see this photo!
How sweet are these two??
Of course I had to play with their rings and a horn for NYE.
Look, I know this isn’t the best photo ever but hear me out. I’m a bit, okay okay, a HUGE, New Kids On the Block fan. Like HUGE. Imagine my delight when I looked up when Annalise and Coleman were counting down with Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and there are the New Kids!! Taking photos of Joe is what got me back into photography so it’s kind of like my photography career in one big circle here and I love it.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Here’s to 2019!
Shortly after I jumped in my car and got the heck out of downtown before all the drunks, ha!
