Miller Nature Preserve Wedding with Madina and Nathan

September Wedding at Miller Nature Preserve

Last September I met up with Nathan and Madina for their gorgeous wedding at the Miller Nature Preserve.  It was my first visit to this lovely space but it wasn’t my last (I was here a week later).  It is SUCH a lovely spot and I hope to return many more times in the years to come now that I know about this gem.

Nathan and Madina were SUCH a lovely couple to work with.  I seem to attract low-key clients and they were such a chill couple.  I love how easy going they were and willing to go along with whatever I suggested.  Their bridal party was also super chill and this vibe spread out to their whole wedding.  It was one of the most zen weddings I’ve been to.  Beyond that, these two just were so much in love that it made capturing it so easy!

We started our day off with most of the photos with their bridal party and Nathan and Madina.  I love when we’re able to do this since it frees my couples up after the ceremony to visit with their guests!  After their gorgeous ceremony on the patio we took a few more photos before they moved their reception inside to The Orchid Room.  I love that they were able to keep the patio through the evening and I peeped on Instagram after I left and saw they turned it into a dance floor by the end of the night!

Thank you both so much for trusting me with your day.  You were a joy to work with!

I love that Madina had her ladies dress in a color but nothing matchy matchy, just whatever they felt best in.

The guys DID have matching ties though and I love how they coordinated with Nathan’s shirt.

I really loved his look!

Madina’s dress looked SO comfy!  This dress was dressy enough for a wedding but I think she could easily get away with wearing it again just to dinner.  LOVE!

How cute are these two?

We couldn’t have ordered a better day! Gorgeous sun, lots of light and beautiful temps!

How awesome does this bridal party look?  Love it!

I love that we were able to get a lot of their photos done before the wedding!  While Miller Nature Preserve is somewhat small, there are so many great little nooks and spots to photograph!

Seriously, this place is a gorgeous place to have your wedding!

They are the prettiest kissers ever.  It’s weird to say that but they are.

They have a beautiful conservatory at the venue so we popped in there just before the ceremony and I loved this photo of them walking to the next spot.

Finally it was time for the ceremony and Nathan was all smiles watching Madina come down the aisle.

SUCH a gorgeous spot for the wedding ceremony!!!

They opted to do a sand ceremony which is a lot easier than a candle outside!

The kiss!

Instead of tossing petals or bubbles they had their guests toss paper airplanes made with maps.  LOVE!

After the family formals we did a few more photos in the conservatory.

This may be one of my favorites!

Their reception was travel themed and they decorated The Orchid Room beautifully!

Their guestbook was a globe that everyone signed and I LOVE this idea!

They did their first dance just after they entered the room and it was perfect!

They had some toasts before dinner and they were perfect!
