Brides Talk: Elizabeth

Elizabeth and I didn’t meet until the day of her wedding since she lives out of state but we immediately hit it off. She is such a sweet girl and ANYONE that honeymoons in the Outer Banks is a kindred spirit! To top it off, she also had scheduled Brooke Mayo‘s awesome Carrie for her Trash the Dress session while down there! Seriously, I was destined to be her photographer!!! The day of the wedding Elizabeth and her family and friends embraced me like I was one of their long-lost own and the day was so much fun. When I heard the sad news of Jan (whom you’ll read about in a bit) I was gutted and saddened to hear of her death. I was also glad that I was able to capture her in some of her happier moments before her death. Knowing death all too well on my own, I know how important it is to have those images and I’m honored to have taken them. Elizabeth and Kevin were such a wonderful couple to work with and didn’t bat an eye when I suggested crazy things. I am so lucky to have been their photographer!!

Elizabeth Talks

I found Corey in April, just 2 months before my wedding, through a fellow Northeastern Ohio Knottie. Corey’s prices were affordable and her pictures were gorgeous, so I decided – without ever meeting Corey – to hire her to photograph my wedding. I was relaxed about hiring her and through our constant emailing back and forth I just knew I would have some amazing images from my wedding day. Corey did not disappoint. Her pictures were breathtaking. Every time I saw the proofs I smiled. It was such a special day, and it was so nice to be surrounded by our friends and family. My maid of honor, Chelsea, gave an amazing speech, and her sister, Hayley, was such a cute bridesmaid. The pictures that Corey took captured those people and little moments throughout the day perfectly. Most of all I loved looking through the pictures that Corey took while everyone was on the dance floor. Those pictures are such a great reminder of how much fun everyone was having. I knew immediately how much I would cherish these pictures forever, but I had no idea the impact those pictures would have on members of my bridal party.

A little less than a month after my wedding, Chelsea and Hayley’s mother, Jan, passed away unexpectedly from undiagnosed brain cancer. Jan and I were very close. She helped plan and throw my bridal shower, and was helpful and supportive throughout the entire wedding planning process. The last time I got to see Jan was at my wedding. The last time her family was together was at my wedding. I cherish the pictures that Corey took because it was such a happy day and such a great memory to have of Jan. Chelsea and Hayley also cherish those pictures because they are such a happy memory of their mother. We all feel so blessed that our last memories with Jan are such happy memories. I am so grateful to Corey for capturing my wedding with such a creative eye and great talent. Not only will I cherish these pictures because they captured my wedding day so perfectly, but because they captured the happiness and joy in the little moments throughout the day. Corey, thank you so much for making my wedding day that much more special and memorable for all of us.

Love,
Elizabeth
