Michael and Andrea live in one of my favorite states – Maine.  They did all of their booking online and over the phone and wanted an engagement session when they were home for a marathon wedding planning weekend.  Ironically, I was in Maine when they were in Ohio but luckily I came home in time for us to meet up for an engagement session right before they flew back home.  We ended up at Silver Lake and it worked out perfectly!  It was a picture perfect autumn day, unlike the day before, and the leaves were beautiful.  It was such a great session with these two and I can’t wait to meet back up with them next Spring!

I loved the huge balloons that they brought along for the session.  It’d been a long time since I’d seen balloons and I adore them!

These two didn’t need props though to bring the adorable to their session.

One thing I was concerned about was that they would feel a bit awkward getting cuddly with Andrea’s Mom and sister along for the engagement session but they were at ease with one another and her family was the best audience ever!  They wrangled props and would cheer when they were super cute.  I want them at all of my sessions now.

When photographing an engagement session in the Fall you MUST have at least one picture with leaves falling on you.

I had to get a bit quirky with one balloon image and I ended up really liking how it turned out.

I love how this image shows off Andrea’s engagement ring without being too obvious.

Seriously, these two are just adorable.

This was my second favorite.  I always seem to love the classic style of portraits as much as the fun ones. There’s something to be said about those “Mom” shots as I like to call them.
