Gervasi Vineyard Wedding with Hillary and Hassen

I love these small weddings at Gervasi and theirs was yet another that I just adored working.  Hillary and Hassen hired me for their intimate wedding at the Gervasi Vineyard Conservatory with their lunch reception following at the Bistro.

Hillary’s dress was SO pretty.  When pulling up their images to blog I just kept smiling at just how beautiful the lace was and those lovely sleeves!  I also just love the blue of Hassen’s suit!  The jean jackets for the girls were also perfection!  I especially loved the lace details on Hillary’s (uh, I like lace, can you tell).

The best thing about this wedding was just how lovely these two were together.  So many happy tears (mostly from Hassen) and big smiles.  The families were also just lovely to work with.

The autumn weather was on our side and we were able to go out onto the grounds for some photos between the events which made me happy… which also meant that they got to utilize the getaway car plan they had in the vintage blue Corvette!

Congratulations again to you both!

LaPlace Events Wedding with Mackenzie and Ian

Oh my gosh I had SO MUCH FUN with Mackenzie and Ian.  These two were just a delight and SO happy to be married.  There were so many giggles, belly laughs and smiles all day long.  I also adored the peacock color theme that they had at their reception.  SO pretty!

How fabulous is Ian’s jacket???  I was OBSESSED with it as soon as I saw it.  I love that lately the men have been stepping up their games at weddings from the usual basic jackets!  It’s maybe my favorite current ‘trend’ in weddings.

I hadn’t been to LaPlace Events before for a wedding and what a neat little hidden gem it was in Cuyahoga Falls!

Finally, their flower girl was such an absolute vibe all day long.  She is the Maid of Honor’s daughter and man, she cracked me up all day.  Look below for the photo of her on the dance floor, girl, we are all feeling the same by that point in the day!

Cleveland City Hall Rotunda Wedding with Paul and Lance

Paul and Lance were yet another couple affected by the pandemic and had to move their date from 2020 to 2021.  I felt so awful for so many couples who had to change up plans but they rolled with it and ended up having a beautiful day even if it wasn’t the original date they began to plan for.

I have had a few couples do the rehearsal the day of the wedding and I LOVE it.  It’s fresh in everyone’s minds and you get the jitters out.  I know it’s not for everyone but I have to say I’m a fan.  Don’t worry though – these men still got PLENTY misty-eyed when it came to the real thing.  Confession: I may have cried too.  It was a beautiful ceremony.

After the rehearsal though we went out for photos in the city before the ceremony took place and had a great time just wandering around and taking photos where the light and scenery made magic.  Their bridal party was super easy going and luckily the weather gods were on our side!

We came back for the ceremony and AMAZING reception at the Cleveland City Hall Rotunda and it was such a great evening.  Paul surprised Lance with a choreographed dance and Lance’s HUGE smile was a joy to behold.  It was definitely a surprise!!
